Yes, Star Wars is awesome, but George Lucas needs to figure out something else instead of milking it. Sigh. I suppose it is to the movie industry as the Mario franchise is to the game industry.

I suppose it has potential, as long as they don't include Jar Jar.

Now, dont get me wrong, Star Wars is awesome (my favorite movie until Avatar) but I can never support this. Its fine as it is and it cant be improved by adding 3D. It just seems like a gimmick.

Agreed, cant the man come up with something else for Pete sake? Don't get me wrong love Star Wars even had a Star Wars themed wedding. But come on to add 3D to whats already there and to say I did'nt know the tech was there thats bull that man ILM pratically invented most of the movie tech we have seen lately sit and watch the credits for most of the big cg movies an see whos name comes up. Come on Uncle George your 65 years old surely you have got to have one orginal idea in your head I mean you had a good start with THX 1138 dark as it was still was different from any one else take on sci fi at the time. So stop milking the bantha and show us something new for a change this is one of the reasons most people go Star Wars boo or yea thats silly cuase thats all you have given us, I think as fans of serious sci-fi you owe us that. Look at your buddy Cameron certianly has made more than one type of film in his life time and each with a different theme with the exception of a killer robot from the future. Ok thats my rant on the subject. GL owes the sci-fi comunity better than a rewrite and minor fix its insult if you ask me would rather get thawp thawp again in the chest than put up with that.

Nope, wouldn't support it.  But then again, it probably wouldn't be that bad since Lucas has already destroyed Star Wars, so I can't see it mattering much.  It would sorta be like running up to a rotting log and chopping it with an axe, yelling, "Haha, take that tree!  I got you!"

honestly, I never really watch Star Wars.. but if who? George Lucas? Yea.. him I guess, wants to remake the movies with CGI technology, it's okay, but should he really remake them? why not make new movies or sth?
Plus, it's just the technology he's taking from Avatar right? not the storyline or plot or anything? Yes? Good.
