This was bound to happen at some point I guess. Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer are spoofing Avatar. Expect lame "hair sex/beastiality" jokes, that's if they even bother to keep the movie on topic... which is unlikely. No doubt it'll be trash but I'm still compelled to see it.

These movies are successful based on how much people agree with their point of view or find them entertaining.  So if they bomb, that means haters are in the not insignificant minority.  And if they are profitable, they are either funny or entertaining.  If they outsell Avatar, they laced the popcorn...

I just knew this was bound to happen lol  ! May be good, may be bad but at least i'll give it a shot and watch it when (and if) it comes out, either in theaters or on DVD/Bluray. I've watched Meet The Spartans, which i thought was entertaining and funny in a silly way. However: Personally, i don't think there's much to parody about Avatar (i'm saying this because i'm a fan who takes the movie very seriously), aside from Tsaheylu-jokes. We'll just have to wait and see what becomes of this  ...

Plus they are going to strike every related pop culture reference and movie between 2009-2011 (as they do in their other parody movies). So I imagine the list to parody would include Alice in Wonderland, Piranha 3D, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Charlie Sheen (the winning Na'vi?), etc.

Well, i guess they could make fun of the part where Quaritch talks about ``Pandora rules´´: Instead of just skipping the whole lesson there could be Quaritch citing a big bunch of rules, one always being more ridiculous than the last. Example: ``Do not, under any circumstances, pull your pants down when out in the jungle, even when you're taking a piss, 'cus the bugs here are so big they'll get stuck in your ass should they fly into you. So if you have to piss, do it with your pants up, preferably not at all.´´ I know, that wasn't particularly funny. But, hey, i'm not the most creative person when it comes to making complicated jokes  !
