That movie was bad, but it had a redeeming quality to its violence and production values.

I think I speak for a large portion of the male population on the site when I say that the DOA games are better than the movie. 

Mario Bros wasn't that bad but it could have been more faithful to the franchise.

I saw Prince of Persia on saturday with my eldest brother and sisters. Thought it was good, but I seem to dislike very few movies. I haven't played the games, but I saw someone playing it once so I don't know much of how it matches or doesn't, but overall it was a good movie.

The ending was way trippy XP

The ending was actually quite accurate to the ending of the game. The whole you go back to the start of the whole affair and kill the bastard responsible.

The game ending was better though. The whole princess-letting-go-of-prince's-hand thing (in the game) was prince holding the blade of the dagger and the princess holding the handle, and so gravity slowly dragged the blade through Prince's hand. Much better IMO.

I missed just one part from the movie:
In the game, at the really end (last words), the Prince tells Farah -who asks his name- "Just call me ...". Since it was a magic word, that Farah told him earlier, and she never told it to anyone (aside of the Prince of course), she got to know what happened through the game.
In the movie, she just saw that Dastan brought back the dagger...

Yes I know, in the same way The Prince (in the game) actually broke into the city and explained what had happened to the princess and then got attacked by the Visir, none of which happened in the film.
The same way releasing the Sands of Time in the film causes armageddon, in the game it turns all who touches it into mindless monsters.

There are SOME differences in plot, but I'm glad to see they kept the whole reverse-the-events thing.

and on the plus side, the fact that the Sands were released means you can't rule out a sequal complete with Dahaka.

I saw this with m cousin. Then I saw it with my friend. If you want to have lots of fun, then make sure you go with someone who likes hot boys. And who likes to laugh.

I really liked it, that Jake Gyllenhaal is just so dang cute!
