To me this looks like it'll be a good movie. Will it be as good as the original, most likely not but I won't hold that against it. I love a good origin movie and this seems like that it be worthy of it.

I think that they are trying everything they can do to borrow from name recognition, but this movie seems like it will be nothing like its predecessors in the Planet of the Apes film fictions.

This movie almost seems like Zombie apocalypse with smart apes.  Instead of, evolution and cultural clashes causing another species to rise to dominance.
