Quote
The force is strong in my family. My father has it.
"My father has it" Present tense, not past tense.
Is this the son of Luke talking about Luke?
Is this Like talking about Anakin/Darth Vader? If so is he referring to Anakin's force ghost, or is there something else?
We see Vader's face helmet, and hear his breathing, is this simply to evoke links with episodes four five and six, or is there something else? Anakin turned to the dark side, allying himself with Palpatine, to discover how to bring back the dead.

Will we be visiting Endor, where Anakin/Vader was cremated, and presumably where his remains would still be?

Also I'm hoping for a subtle Jar Jar Binks cameo, were - in the back of shot - he is being lead away in chains.

Why was there that Twitter trend to boycott the movie?

Just returned from the cinema, I went to the local premiere at 10:00 am with two of my friends, and my Eywa, what an awesome feel!
The movie takes you back to the original trilogy, both it's story and it's way of capturing it on the screen.
It is a brilliant mix of realism and the quality of modern technology. They went back to puppeteering and everything they invented all those years ago, not relying on just CGI as the prequel trilogy did. Really awesome movie, you've got to go and see it!

Which sequels do I have to watch in order to understand the seventh episode?

If I remember me correctly:
Watch first episodes IV, V, VI
Then episodes I, II, and III.
And then the episode VII

(I haven't watched Star Wars for a looong time...lol)

If I am not mistaken, the new movie has some references from the previous movies, but I guess, one can understand it without having watched the previous movies. (Obviously, I can't judge it, because I have to watch the new movie first, lol.)

Yeah, the movie is quite understandable for newcomers, but it helps to have seen the original trilogy (Episodes IV, V, VI).
Just so you understand the relationships between the original characters.
