As a Lokean, yes, I will be going to see this   The mental commentary from my Loki-muse should be highly entertaining, and is enough to get me to the movie even if I disagree vastly with how Loki is usually portrayed in this universe

I would not know.  But, you guys have the largest premier screen for 3D in the world out there in Sydney.

I presume everything is faked in movies, and let the pain of "filming real and practical effects has gone predominately extinct" wash over me and leave.

Don't read this if you don't want the movie somewhat spoiled for you before you see it.

Spoiler: The Good

Effects are well done, I love the look of everything in Asgard and Jotunheim in 3D.

Anthony Hopkins
Tom Hiddleston

All did a very good acting Job on this film.  There was a very strong emotional bond between them that really is well played.

The other actors did very stereo typical portrayals of other characters they have played.  Although, in the context of this film, were well placed to give this story heart to ground such a wild adventure-spectacle movie.

The war with the frost giants was pretty cool looking, I would love to see that in an expanded movie story.

The frost-giants look creepy, and the perilousness of tangling with them is very well portrayed.

There was a large amount of humor centering on Thor and his interactions with Humans on earth, I though all of that was entertaining and did a good job of portraying the Thor character Arc.

Spoiler: The Bad

The Asgardian friends of THOR were borderline camp and thinly portrayed exaggerations.  In the comics they have a rich back-story; in the movie, all of their back-story is slapped into a few minutes of exposition, disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.

The frost Giants have some size inconsistencies, and don't particularly look like they are all that gigantic.

Overall it was very entertaining for me.
