I have been working on this for a while. I just finished it, so tell me what you think. If you have any questions about it, or constructinve criticism, please post.

VERSE ONE
Look around you, everything's fallin' apart
I mean, where am I even supposed to start?
Everyone's sayin' that the world will change;
what can I do when my life's rearranged?
I guess they expect me to just go along,
but I can't help but feel that there's something wrong.
People fight over oil like it's an immortal potion,
and they don't do a thing when it spills in the ocean.
They kill animals just to hang in their homes,
but they even notice they're destroying their own.
They say they do it "for the sake of civilization",
but all they do is let bankers go on a vacation.
They spend all our money on these worthless things
without seeing all the hardship and strife that it brings.
Millions of people have gone into debt,
but all they are are fish stuck in the net
to be cut up and eaten, the weak thrown away,
their bones will be used to pave the roadway
to a place people call "the promised land",
only to find that it too is out of hand.
People die on the streets while the rich men thrive;
everyone does what they can to survive.

*Chorus* What I want to say can't be expressed in words,
and what I see on the news is just absurd.
All they wanna do is just change you and me,
but we know it won't happen because we believe. *End Chorus*

VERSE TWO
Now it seems to me that there's no common sense,
people've got their minds all sittin' on a fence.
They see someone who's actin' real rude
but they don't do a thing for fear of being sued.
Many people went to jail and some even died,
all just because they said a little lie.
The problem with this world is one many don't know;
they haven't realized that we've disrupted the Flow.
We complain about animals that have overpopulated;
Have any of you seen all this chaos that we've created?
Humans trump through the land, destroying all they touch;
they see that it's wrong but they don't care much.
I've done plenty of things that helped kill the Earth.
That is why I am waiting for the Great Rebirth.
Let mankind be gone, we don't belong
Gaia will get rid of us when she sees we don't fear.
She could send us back to our own lost place,
making us disappear without a trace.
Some say we are the cause of Earth's desecration
even though we are supposed to be its greatest creation.

*Chorus* What I want to say can't be expressed in words,
and what I see on the news is just absurd.
All they wanna do is just change you and me,
but we know it won't happen because we believe. *End Chorus*

VERSE THREE
I realize this may come as a shock to some of you,
but you gotta realize that this is the truth.
No supernatural being, no outside power,
can tell us what to do when the choice is ours.
The Earth Mother will cry, she sheds her tears,
to clean out our troubles and silence our fears.
If we just acknowledge her, just see that she's there,
perhaps we can be released from these sins that we wear.
But if we continue to travel down this dangerous path
we will reach a point where there's no turning back.
The land will die around us, the sky will grow dark,
if we treat this life as a walk in the park.
Our lives will be saved, our souls eternally cleansed,
when we can see this world through Her natural lense.

*Chorus* What I want to say can't be expressed in words,
and what I see on the news is just absurd.
All they wanna do is just change you and me,
but we know it won't happen because we believe. *End Chorus*
Failure is the mother of success.
Soon, we will no longer be the leaves on the wind, but the wind itself.
You don't have to be a scholar to be a leader.

Mllte, I am curious about that too. The lyrics are very good.
Would be interesting to put them to different kinds of music and see (uhm, listen) what comes out of that.
