From my music course that Im doing the one to use that is the best is Sonar x1. When you understand what everything does you will use it more effectively

Yeah Sonar is a nice piece of software, I really like the sound of their compressors.

While you bring it up I should mention that Cubase is on my wish list.  Logic is good... perhaps better if there was also a Windows version of it, too, despite that it was created by the same company that also created macs ;)

If memory serves, Logic used to be compatible with both windows and macs long ago before the original developers of Logic were bought out by Apple.

I would love to move to Logic at some point, decent plugins and sweet workflow. What more can we ask for eh?

Cubase I hear is pretty awesome, though I am not wild about the whole dongle business. Can't wait for some VSTi 3 plugins so see how the expression controls work with Cubase 6.

You're right, Logic has been available on Windows long time ago (before Apple bought it)

Defiately the electric guitar for me  :) <3. I just love it's expressiveness and it's variation. There's just so many things you can do with it  :)! Shredding, chugging, slides, solos, anything (Although some things aren't possible without electronic manipulation.)  :)! I'm planning on becoming a guitarist/vocalist in the band i intend to start. I'd like to be able to do solos, too  :).

I'd also like to be able to play piano, various string instruments, percussion and didgeridoo.

Well then... I ought to place my two cents into this instrument discussion.  I play bass guitar and love the versatility of the instrument in the types of sounds you can get, but I'll have to say the double bass (upright bass, string bass, contrabass, whatever you want to call it) is my favorite.  I've also enjoyed the cello, and all kinds of percussion including the drumset.

Still in the synth realm for me.  My favorite synths, I am now finding out, are the additive synths, Harmor most likely being the best one out there.  Additive synths are by far underused and underrated, as they have a sort of diversity that the analog synths don't.

I've also noticed that neither Logic, Pro Tools, nor Cubase has even one additive synth, good audio DAWs as they are.  This is why I'm still with FL Studio.

Easy one!! Although I love ALL guitars, for PURE ENJOYMENT even if I'm by myself somewhere. My all Brass bodied Fender Tri-Cone Dobro, with me doing Delta "Slap Blues" can't be beat.
