QuoteI would like you to define Pure Metal.

What i mean is: The old school, groundlaying Metal-bands that started the genre, i.e. Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. I think Limp Bizkit strays a bit too far away from that too be called ``basic´´ Metal.

And: Yeah, i remember that i've read that Rapcore is an sub-genre of Alternative, which tends to sound quite different from ``basic´´ Metal.

QuoteEveryone who loves Disturbed, shout!!!!
QuoteYEAH COME GET SUM BABY!

Disturbed is great, seen some of their concerts? They can get the crowd to do everything like almost exactly at the same time, like fists in the air!

8)/
QuoteAnd honestly, they are really good musicians too.  People like to rip on them a lot, but it's because they are their own genre of music formed from four amazing musicians.  And Dramian's vocals are so well defined too...

Cool! I have a suprise for you guys later on  ::) 8)...

But first:

Two of their, IMO, best songs (They're part of the upcoming surprise  8).):

Song: Stupify
Album: The Sickness

And:

Song: Ten Thousand Fists
Album: Ten Thousand Fists

I'm getting to the surprise soon enough. But first...
QuoteYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

this is a shout  8)

Txantsan  ;D! Alright, here it comes...  :o

And...  :o

Enjoy this über-fan-epic-tastic stuff  8)  ;D!

Kelkuyä Eyktan

OME! O_O

That was... EPIC!  ;D IMO, my version of it would have had some killer Thrash song.  :D But that's just me. :P But the 10k Fists fitted really well :) *thumbs up vid*

Been to see Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica, all in 2010.

I don't mind Disturbed, but I'm an old school metalhead who grew up listening to Saxon, Judas Priest, Motorhead etc.

Were Iron Maiden in NZ in 2010? I thought they were there in 09 or 08 on the Flight 666 Tour (or whatever album it was in support of)

I see Iron Maiden next year at Soundwave

Gah, yeah I saw Maiden in '09. 'Twas getting a bit late, and old age kicking in etc. :)

Nice :)

I wanted to see them at Sonisphere, but Bloodstock had a far better lineup and Sonisphere had a lot of quite bad bands underneath them and I could only afford to go to one. I also wanted to see them play next year but didn't manage to grab a ticket in time and there were only seating ones left, which seems a bit pointless to me.

Ah well, I still have Manowar, Turisas, Ensiferum and Amon Amarth next year \m/

I honestly think that Disturbed's new album Asylum is the best they've done.

What do you guys think about Rammstein??

Rammstein is all good. My favourite album would still have to be Sehnsucht.  :)

Rammstein are good, I have more individual songs rather than complete albums by them though.

Yeah, the Volkerball album by them is probably the most popular mix of their music.

I've been on a real bender on listening to Saxon recently, can't get enough of the classic metal really. :D

I really don't consider Droppin' Plates to be a rap song. Its more of an attempt at one. Thats also one of the songs that I kinda ignore from The Sickness. It really didn't fit the flow in my opinion.

Agree. I too think it's a kinda awkward fail rap-metal song, but that's what i like about it  ;D. It sounds so f***ed up and wierd  ;D.

I saw them during their tour this year in the US and I'm kinda glad they didn't play it. I always just skip over that song whenever it comes up.
