um if i may. humans skin verying between fair and dark does actualy camoflauge with our homeworld. the earth. thing about it, trees wat color is the bark? brown, varying between trees. and the dirt? brown. its both for camofolge heat etc etc.   and the navi there home is filled with many viberant colors, there skin rowed with little lumonesent pours, it aids in camoflgue, aswell there air sorce is toxic to humans but not to them so maybe there skins related to there breathing source?   ((please excuse any typoes))

They also have ambient blue light around them at night. I would say their skin is Camo.

why do we call the asians, the yellow people? are they really yellow?

Ricardo

Are European people really white or Indians really red?
It's a comparison thing.

I wonder for a while if there are Na'vi with an other skin colour than blue.

Don't they get purple tans?

Human No More

It has been claimed so, but is not at all visible in the actual film and not mentioned in canon at all (indeed, doing so would not make sense as it would not be caused by the same pigment - a denser concentration would just produce a darker blue).

It seemed that at night their skin was darker and almost purple like but during the day it was much more light blue.  :-\ It was most likely a lighting thing but I think that they would get a darker blue color if they sun tanned.

The purple mostly comes from the lighting at the tree of voices/tree of souls, which have a more purple light than most of Pandora, where the light is more blue/green.

I'm sure there are at times a mistake in gene coding, making an albino Na'vi a potential.  Would an albino be light lavender or whitish?

Human No More

Likely similar to albino humans (whitish), due to the colour of their blood, or maybe very slightly more purple-ish (but still very light) if there is a small amount of pigment.

Hmm, okay, I just said white-pink because of some things I read in comics :p,

Ah yes, it makes some sensce now, and what about the nose and ears, their nose is black, like a cat,

And well, their ears... are longer and kind of pointy...

the very bottom of their nose, the underside, is pinkish like a cat. the rest is blue :]

There would be no purple.  The term "albino" doesn't mean "little pigment" it means "no pigment" so albino Na'vi, like any true albino, would have "white" (unpigmented) skin, no stripes, likely with a pinkish tinge due to the fact that evidence shows us they have red blood just as humans do, and again because of the colour of their blood they would appear to have pink eyes, and their hair would also be white.

Human No More

Well, it's an issue of whether or not they would be a true one. I am aware of what albinism is, I just presented the alternative as something similar as a potential (particularly since someone mentioned the possibility before) - indeed, they may well experience neither.

Melanism might be interesting, too.

It would indeed!  I can imagine that it would end up with a really lovely shade of midnight black-blue....wou! so pretty!
