I may be wrong on this, but I thought it was most scientific to view everything as 'theory' rather than 'fact' because science is still developing and there are always new theories to supplant the older ones as we grow in understanding.

Yes. There isn't any thing as scientific fact. The distinction is usually between theory and hypothesis, and the video belongs to the latter category.

I personally don't buy into the "quantum thought" hypothesis. It is based on the assumption that human brains can do computations using qubit-based operations, which is very tentative. For example, quantum computing devices, as currently postulated, would be able to factor huge numbers in log(O) time, while non-quantum computers factor numbers in O factorial time. Humans factor in O factorial time - even idiot savants gain their ability from fast math thinking (i.e. a tiny coefficient in front of O!), not a log(O) algo.

Quantum computing also doesn't explain "consciousness" any better than ordinary computing. In fact, doesn't the "yes/no" bit fit human thought better than the "up/down/left/right" qubit?  ;D

Until somebody walks up to me and factors 245246644900278211976517663573088018467026787678332759743414451715061600830038587216952208399332071549103626827191679864079776723243005600592035631246561218465817904100131859299619933817012149335034875870551067 in his/her head, I'm not for quantum computers in our heads.

But that is off topic...

this understanding will very likely change how we understand or "see" our world. I will also caution that the science examples this video presents are science "theory" and is not yet proven fact so take what you see from this perspective.
Please don't use quantum mysticism to support your viewpoint. It makes you look ill-informed.  ;)

As for what "kame" means, I suspect it's one of those terms, much like "knowing" someone, that varies a lot depending on context. (Sure, I know Pawl; I met him once for a few hours. But I also know Alan; I've talked with him over days.  8)) And, of course, there's the ancient Hebrew euphemism of "knowing" someone that's actually a disguised reference to having sex with them.

When Oel ngati kameie, I see you spiritually (and with honor because of ei).

When Oel ngati tse'a, I see you physically.

It's a tip to know.

<ei> actually is the "happy" mood infix. It does not signify anything honorific.

Oel ngati kamuye would be the (extremely) honorific version. Perhaps clan-to-clan diplomats would use that?  ;D

Wouldn't ohel nengati kamuye be the (most) extremely honorific version and the best choice for clan-to-clan diplomats to use?!  ;D Maybe for two or more clans who are trying to resolve a clan war or whatever... ^^

There is a lot of intresting talk into the deep meaning of "Kame" and I would like to thank Suze for pointing to the Term "Grok" but I know I have have heard refrence to it used before in a very deep manor, I asked a friend who uses Shamanistic understanding in healing practice (and Avatar uses many very direct respectful refrences to native shamanism both direct and sublime) she had heard of the term and it had a place in shamanistic practice and the origin of the term suze allready spoke on , whats posably intresting is if one takes the phrase "I see you" and looks
at a "Groking" example "(I am not into new age spiritualisum or paranormal events) but this is the closest video example I could find
Light Orbs: Do You Grok Others? Do Others Grok You?  "Then" one takes a look at "I see you" it's meaning "could" become "I grok you" I have heard the term "Groking" used in Avatar before in taking a look at what the phrase means and the inner understanding this points at  Another intresting thing I would like to point out is just how close "Kame" comes to the japanese world "Kami" it has the meaning of "Spirit, natural forces, or essence  " I see your spirit inside" just like Na'vi a Kepekmi said this could be a very close meaning of "I see you" Oel Ngati Kameie like anything involving metaphyics or spiritual meaning it is very difficult to be subjective how one persons "sees" spiritual meaning is completly diffrent from another I would also like to add the attraction people "feel" for Neytiri could play into this If people take Neytiri's words "I see you" it would be natural that people would like "see her" also "I grok Neytiri"  in doing so build a sublime bridge of inner understanding that connects and deeply respects  "her way of seeing"  I would like peoples subjective criticisum in this subject.
if one would like  an "example" on japanese symbolism and Kami look at the example presented artwork in the game "Okami" the female wolf
is a "nature spirit representing the sun" whos job is to "restore" the world after humans throw the world into "Chaos" through there Actions
