In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Remember, with the Na'vi, they can... "log into" Eywa any time and know if something is out of balance and threatens their survival. They can then band together to correct the situation. It was easy for Jake to get the other tribes to go along with the war, probably because they had been following the destruction by the humans for so long, and felt the destruction of the tree that the Hell Trucks hit.

Here on Earth we have no internal monitoring system. There may be a guy dumping chemical waste in a forest somewhere right now and we have no way to ask the tree network if that is the case. We don't find out about it until the problem is so big it cannot be ignored or covered up... or, unless motivated individuals report the situation.

Despite their neural network, there was never any proof that Eywa existed. Just because they thought that this symbiosis was in fact due to a god doesn't mean that this god exists . . .

The Utral Aumokriyä is pretty empirical evidence that Eywa exists. However, the statement that Eywa "doesn't take sides" makes me wonder just how bilateral the communication between Na'vi and Eywa really is.  Perhaps the Na'vi can really just only listen in.

eywa, as an entity, clearly exists, that is clear from watching the movie (tree of voices, pandoran fauna's organized response to the disturbance by the humans, augustine's 'transportation' etc). i wouldn't think of it as a deity though (not in a classic concept, at least). it is an unquestionably existing entity that is very present and very real and clearly takes actions in keeping things (herself) in harmony. it is some kind of super-complex-collective organism/conscience, the pandora itself.

edit:
hawnuyu:
well, that i can certainly agree with, but i kinda anderstood that the question is more like whether their actions in the movie are justifiable or not...it is a little OT, but hey, it's discussion:)

Technological development-->alternate fuels-->floating cars-->superconducting material-->discovery of unobtainium-->avatar is real-->(james cameron is a prophet)-->we get to go to pandora-->yes

So I say yes to development following that logic.

We do have super conducting materiels. They just have to be super cooled as well.

Alternate fuels are not aws good as fossil at the moment bcause of the cost of producing it.

I'm not saying that the Na'vi are Al-Queda just that they are an underdog that should not be rooted for. Also on that line. Al-Queda is not the whole of Muslim communities coming after us that popped up when we attacked them. They are an extremist group who wants the death of all of US Infadels. I will not lay down to die for their beliefs.

As far as blame shifting. That was not what I was doing, just saying we are not the only ones with the blood of others on our hands. Like stated earlier, every civilization does to an extent.

And the Native, (maybe native, maybe not) have devolped casinos where they live so they can make money. They have not just takin the beatings and went to die, they profit now, too.

So far as trying to put down your opinion, I was saying you were getting mad at your own race for things you can't change as one person, and lashing out at others on the board here. Not saying your opinion was wrong just how you were acting towards others,  who disagree with yours.

I don't agree with somethings but I'm not saying death to the Na'vi, and I DEFFINATELY do not support Imperialism. Which I happening in America now anyways with Obama in charge. Things are going downhil fast for us.

no, just stating my opinion. Not bashing anyone, not critcising anyone except Obama. I saw this whole thing since before he was elected. I predicted that things were gonna go down the toilet and they have. Whoo I'm psychic.

As for the therad, It has been proven beyond a doubt that the Na'vi are not flawless.
Heres the proof:
