Let me throw this question out though:
If they do make tsaheylu while *ahem* mating - and tsaheylu literally links their brains together, why did Netyeri not see or sense what Jake had been sent to do?

I'm not picking fault here, I'm really looking for someone to give me a logical explanation.

It's only what they are thinking at the moment that gets passed along ^_^ And no worries, no one is angry at you.

Sure, I'll buy that. I am fairly certain that Jake wasn't thinking about his 'orders' at that particular moment.  ;)

Eywa I hope not. That would certainly be a very strange kink  :P

I wonder if they hear direct thoughts or if it's more like strong feelings. Uuugh, I want to talk to Cameron so bad. >.>

yeah its so complicated and exact yet so closed off and precise all in the same thing

curse these movie features!!!

The old Uriuujìn

... Hate to point this out, but there is more to the Na'vi society than their queues during sex.

Perhaps a new aspect of their civilization, such as their emphasis on the balance of all things? Their spiritualism regarding the ideals of give and take, of ebb and flow? Just some food for thought, just seeing what else we can talk about ^_^

I think we all want to talk to him. Even if it is just to shake his hand and say 'Irayo!'

Now that I think about it though, I would say you're likely correct in your interpretation of tsahaylu between couples. It's probably just select ideas, emotions or memories that would be transmitted. All the things that make you love someone.

Well if you pop over to the "Na'vi Custom" thread on the same board you'll find a lot of these things have already been discussed. Asking for us to just move on is a little broad. Have a specific topic you wish to talk about to get the ball rolling?
