It would be hilarious if JC himself visited the fourm (without us knowing) and used our ideas for extra clans.

If we see a 'Dreamwalker' clan in the next Avatar, I will laugh. If it's home base is the same as what I have set in mind, I will do a victory armpump for awesome.

The only problem with that is it's a legal nightmare and at least Babylon 5 had to rewrite some of its later episodes because some people posted episode ideas too close to their finished scripts.

It would be totally awesome if some people from here got hired as consultants, would show a great deal of appreciation for the community.

True that.

Still... meh, it's a pipe dream.

Personally I'd like to be in a tribe in whatever the closest equivalent to England is (some island that is cold enough to occasionally get snow).

They mentioned 14 or 15 tribes banded together for the war; I want to find out more about all of them!

If the variety of tribes is anything like the vast varieties of tribes found among the Native Americans there's bound to be a lot of interesting groups to explore.

I think they can be categorised as either a tribe of the forest, plains, or the sea.
Personally i don`t take the Na`vi as alien because i think i understand them.

When I look on the news and see what horrible things are happening around the world I can`t help but wonder what is the source of them and therefore my own race is becoming more and more alien to me as time passes by.

Does that make any sense?

I would have to say Omaticaya for now, mainly because that is the area that I am most comfortable with. I do love plains and all, but I can't ride a horse...

I think most people would naturally gravitate toward the omaticaya tribe. I personally don't have a favorite tribe yet. But since i know the omaticayan tribe the most, i would naturally pick them. But i would be interested in learning more about all the tribes and also about more of pandora as well. Such an exciting world to explore!

I'm impartial at the moment, but I love the mountains, forests, seas, and some plains. I would like to see what the other tribes consist of and stuff. It would be cool if one the tribes had bonded or something with some Hammerhead's, like how they bond with an Ikran. That would be pretty awesome. It would definitely be interesting to see what James Cameron comes up with.

Putting my two cents in here... I want to see a map. you all must have seen one so I'm not much of one to talk, but I like small tribes spread all over the place. I'm going with the most southern part of Pandora because the only pic of it I saw (if my memory serves me right..) It was covered in a rich snowy hills surrounded by trees galore :) best of both worlds if you ask me!

      Yes. It is our way.

I would roll Omi here because i do like my forests

Malkollm Eanmenari

I have a feeling that it is ingrained in humanity to love forests and seas.  I know I do.  Humanity once came from the trees and prospered by the waters.  Makes sense...  I feel like a reason this movie has struck such a chord (I know I have gone back to see it 3 times) is not just the beauty of it, though I wish my plants bioluminesced, but because we share something with the Na'vi.  Something deep in our genes.  That natural desire to be in the old forest, to be apart of the ecosystem again.  Call me skxawng, but my dreams have been filled with images of a glowing forest...

Well I can't say for sure since we don't know how different the tribes are. The fact that they need a giant impressive dragon to unite them against a large force suggests that they may have some extreme differences.

At one point, Jake says "I've got 15 clans out there." So we know there are at least 15 clans. However, we only see him going to the horse people on the plains and the ikran riders of the eastern sea. So what i'm trying to figure out is were all the clans that came to help just from those two regions of pandora?

I think I also belong to the eastern sea tribe ... I don't know, I've got a feeling. Maybe Jake and Neytiri founded their own tribe ;)

They only showed those two tribes, beacause that was where Jake and Neytiri went. The other tribes were visited, but just not by Jake, cause he wouldn't be to travel to each and every tribe in that amount of time. Toruk is not that fast! ;D So, they were able to get 15 tribes to come together in one day.
