William S. Annis' prolegomena to the study of Na'vi poetry
« on: August 05, 2015, 08:47:09 pm »
In 2010, wm.annis wrote a document that analyses a bit the Na'vi poetry. The thread is available here. I decided to create a brand new post because of the age of the thread (last reply in 2010).

You can find the document here. It contains 4 pages, so please read it if you have a bit of time.

I really like the document. It's a good analysis. We can learn a lot from it, although it brings us interesting cultural questions.

I can ascertain their original way to use the words. I also learned new words: nìrim and nìean.
Trying to write poems in that way is going to be a good, interesting challenge.

I read this. Very interesting document  :)
I will study it more deeply tomorrow, now I am tired. Trying to write poems in that way would be really nice challenge.

It was posted 4 days before you registered. I forgive you. :)

The repetition of the words is truly the Na'vi's speciality. They reuse the words in a nice way of expression.
