Le'eylan

Who are you?
Kaltxì, Hej, Hallo, Hello, Hola!
Who am I?
Right now I'm a tired girl in dreads, stressing to get this post up as fast as possible(I got the pm very late).
I'm Le'eylan, but my real name is Jenny. I live in a small town in southern Sweden,
and I'm born in 1993. I love being different, I hate the winter and I'm ALWAYS cold.
Which pretty much makes me the worst swede ever.
Today I started my second year in what we here in Sweden call "gymnasium".
This year we're choosing our own classes, and I'm going to study a lot of computer related stuff, and hopefully languages.
My biggest problem right now is to get my french classes on the schedule.
I've studied german for five years, and started with spanish last year.
When it comes to English, here in Sweden we start studying it in sceond grade. Which for me was nine years ago.

I have a cat, which is pretty much the cutest thing on this earth.
He loves to bite people he likes, and I would like to add that he likes me very much.
A little too much sometimes.

Movies... I love movies. In these first six months of 2010, I went to the local cinema 14 times.
And my local cinema doesn't even show half of all movies I want to see. It's worth adding that I've got posters covering my walls. :D

I think I was inflected by my dad and my two brothers a lot when it comes to taste of movies.
I've watched a lot of action and war movies over the years. I love that they share my
interest and the fact that when the pizza arrives, the question isn't
"are we going to watch a movie?", it's "which movie?".
Some of my favorites are of course Avatar, but also Up, which is an amazing movie.
I have an awesome record when it comes to Up. It took me 9 minutes and 34 seconds
before I started crying. Yeah.
I also like V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Angels and Demons, and all old Disney movies.

I love drawing, but I don't really do it in my free time.
It's most of all in my notebooks at school. I love to do something while listening.

I also like photographing sometimes. Most of the time, it's my cat that becomes the victim.
He's called Tidus by the way, from the game Final Fantasy.
I photograph pretty much anything that passes by...

Games are also something I love. Also something my brothers have influenced me in..
Some of my favorite games are those that reminds me of when I was a kid.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Crash Bandicoot are two of them.
But when I'm really nice, I'll play a match in Halo with my younger brother.
Guitar Hero is also so much fun.

Why are you here?
I was listening to music a nice afternoon in early February. When a commercial came up saying
that you could listen to the avatar soundtrack. I did, and fell in love with Jake's first flight.
I wanted to know the lyrics, and found the thread on the forum. I stalked that thread for a while,
until I made an account and made my own version. Now, I know it's horrible. I put an infix in na'ring.
Yeah you get it, I didn't know much back then.. ::)
I like to check the threads and news everyday, see if something new has happened.

Where do your alias and profile pic come from?
My profile pic is of me, and it has been avatarized by Tìngay Mungeyu. She did a very good job :D
Before this I had the "Le'eylan cat" which I drew when I realized I needed an own avatar
so people could recognize me.
As my real name is Jenny, I searched for a meaning of the name. I found somewhere that
it meant "friendly" and then it became Le'eylan. I love it and it feels like a second name now,
and it feels also very similar to Jenny for some reason.

Srak nga tsun nìna'vi pivlltxe?
Srane, slä oe new slivu sìltsan nì'ul. Fìtrr ke längu oer tìmweypey, ulte oel ke pamrel sayi fìkìng nìNa'vi.

Oel kin tskekxengìt.

What's you favorite Na'vi word? Did you incorporate it (or others) into your everyday vocab?
I tend to say "Kaltxì" every time I pass a mirror. I don't really have anyone here
to speak na'vi to except me. Sometimes when Im being mean to my dad I only answer him in na'vi,
which he responds to by saying "suuutheeey" or "narrrrrri". Yeah. I taught him that. *proud*
I love "pelun" though. Cause you can say it very childish, like "peluhuhuuunnnnn..?".
And why is such an great question.

In your opinion, what are the top three user-created content on the LN website?
Project Ngaynume, Taronyu's Dictionary and Na'vi in a Nutshell.

Have you made any contributions to the LN community that you're particularly proud of?
Well.. I'm proud of my prezis, which I've made for Tirea Aean's awesome project, Project Ngaynume.
I love making them and I would like to continue as long as possible. Being a
teacher in the project is also so much fun, and I'm learning a lot.

What is it that you liked/hated the most about Avatar?
Hm... I loved the idea that it's a whole universe, not just a movie.
I love that it got me to think a lot. And I love that it brought me here.
I saw it three times in the theaters, and since... I've probably seen it 5 times at home.
I tend to ruin stuff I love, like if I find a good song, I listen to it over and over again,
until I don't like it anymore. That's why I don't watch Avatar all the time. I would like
to keep the magic, and the fact that I still get goosebumps when Jake's running in
the avatar body the first time.

Has Avatar changed your life in any way?
Well... Yeah. I've met so many new people here, I've learnt so much about so many things.
It made me learn a complete new language, and get friends from all over the world.

If you could ask Frommer or Cameron three movie or language related questions what would they be?
#1. To both: Do you guys know how awesome you are?
#2. To Cameron: If Avatar 2 is going to be made, can I be on the set and just observe?
#3. To Frommer: What do you like most about Na'vi? And languages in general?

What else do you do in you free time?
I spend a lot of time in a youth group and on camps, which is pretty much the best thing ever.

Every week I'm creating prezis and when I get time off I like watching tv-series and movies.

Right now, I'm watching "Lie to Me" which is a very interesting and fun series.
If I'm not allowed to study French at school, I'll probably start doing that in my free time.
I roll around on the floor with my cat, looking at my dreads and fooling around with my brothers.
I listen to a lot of music, but because I'm more of a movie-girl,
most of my music is just from movies or somehow related to them >_<
Lars Winnerbäck though, is my favorite. No, let's make it a tie. Between him and Melissa Horn.
Both swedish musicians.

Name your top three favorite Earth animals from most favorite to least.
Why those? What's the animal you're most terrified of?

I let you all guess for a few seconds.....

Yeah. Top favorite is cats. They're amazing. They're strong, elegant, fast and beautiful creatures.
I'll have cats all my life. When you've started living with them, you can't stop.
I really love lions too. Pretty much the bigger, wild version of cats.
I think I have to say horses on the next one. They're so big, strong and powerful.

I don't know if I'm terrified for some certain animal. I have respect for them all though.
Anything that easily could kill me is scary, of course.

Pirate, ninja, zombie, or robot?
Ninja. On a pirate ship. No wait. I won't be able to sleep on a boat.
I've always feared that for some weird reason. I would like to be ninja,
with a great control of my body.

What three items would you take to a desert island and why?
My cat. And my older brother. Cause he's pretty much the person I trust best out of everyone.
He would know what to do, and would calm me down when I was freaking out about food.
And yeah... That's pretty much what I need. I would bring a knife.
I've heard that's pretty good to have. NO. Wait. I know.
I would bring Bear Grylls. He would DEFINITELY know what to do.

If you could travel to anywhere in space and time (including fictional universes), where would you go and why?
Probably some planet in Star Wars or Star Trek. If I went to Pandora I would only be sad because I didnt have an avatar.

If you were granted one single wish what would it be?
I can think of a lot. But in times where I think that I wish for something, or a change,
I always get the same thought in my head.
If I would change something, then a lot of things would change because of this.

What I'm trying to say is, that if something would change,
I would probably lose the bad things, but also so many good things.
So I'm gonna wish for something small. Like a chocolate bar. Or a pizza!

What is a question you'd ask yourself? How would you answer it?
Sometimes it feels like I'm running on auto-pilot, and in those moments
I ask myself what I'm doing. I sometimes ask myself
"WHY WHY WHYYYYYYY JENNY DID YOU POSTPONE THIS?!?!?!!?"
Like today when I realized I missed a really important deadline. YAY.
I also ask myself why I'm thinking in english. Cause I do. Almost all the time.
My answer to that is often "cause I want to".

True or False?

#1. My first sentence I learned in na'vi was "Oel ngati kameie".
#2. I know all lines to the movie "Aladdin".
#3. I've been in every continent.

What is the funniest, weirdest, or most embarrassing Na'vi or Avatar  related thing that has happened to you?
I'm gonna write two things:

  • 1. Best one, when my aunt found out that I was studying na'vi and was a teacher in PNgN.
She told me she thought it was cool, and suprised I asked "really?". Her epic answer was:
"Yes, of course. I mean.. look at those collecting stamps." Thank you aunt.
You made me so happy and so safe that I keep on studying and I'm not worried of telling people about it..
  • 2. One day I found my diary, opened it and it had four pages
written only in na'vi. In the end I had written
"Jenny, if you don't understand this, you've lost it."

Bonus Question:
Do you plan on going to college? If so, why and if not why not?
What would your major be and how would you use that major in a Na'vi fashion?

Right now... I don't know what I wanna do. I'm probably going to keep studying,
but I'm not sure I'll do it here in Sweden.

What I'm going to do after these two remaining years is something I think about everyday.
I really don't know where I'll end up.
Which is crazy interesting!

When it comes to na'vi, I hope I'll keep on studying it  ;D

You're all very welcome to ask more questions  :)
I once promised that I would draw a picture to every question if I ever became Na'vi of the week.
I'm going to. Hrh, you just need to have some patience!

Aww, that's a very cute cat :D

I'm going to guess F/T/F. The first because that's way too obvious, so it must be wrong, and the third because you said you hate the cold, so I can't imagine you going to the Antarctic :P

2nd!!!! ;)

I am going to guess T/T/F. Antartica is too cold and way to remote for the average person. The Aladin lines I would say is true due to your love for the old Disney films.
Great job in writing in ìnglisi.

Seykxel sì nitram! for being Na'vi of the Week! :D

Aww, Tidus is soooo cute!

Thumbs up for "Up" – I don't know how long/short it took me to have tears in my eyes, I was on a plane from Canada but I didn't care!

Goosebumps over the funniest and weirdest Avatar related moments ... my thoughts exactly. Your aunt is awsome! Why do we still feel we would need to justify ourselves ... I resent that ;) exactly because of people like those who collect stamps :D
The diary moment is soo true ...

I think I cannot say Irayo often enough for the work you put in the prezis! Sometimes there is not enough Karma in the world ;)

kewnya txamew'itan

I'm going to go T/T/F I'd be very surprised if the first wasn't true; memorising all the lines in Alladin is plausible and you said you like old Disney films; I'd have gone for every continent except Antarctica, but that's pushing it a bit out of plausibility for me.

Your cat looks really cute in the photos, particularly the bottom and middle right.

Congratulations on being named NoTW!

Tidus looks like a fun cat. Some cats do like to nip, or play rough. My older cat 'cat', who is 15 this year still likes to roughhouse with me, and I have the marks to prove it! Lions and tigers have this annoying habit of 'mouthing' you, and I am not really sure why they do this.

And speaking of lions, I see you picked cats and lions as your favorite two animals. {b]Txanstan[/b]
Since you also like old Disney films, what do you think of 'The Lion King'?

For your Ngay/Tsleng questions, I am going to say Ngay/Ngay/Tsleng. I have almost all the lines of 'The Lion King' memorized.

Congrats! I'm also going to have to go with TTF as well.

Your cat is SOOO adorable! Love it.

I like your movie favorites, except for Up, sorry but that movie just seemed so...boring to me. I did love the beginning though and the dog was very cute.

Congrats on the NotW :D

Dreamlight

That's a beautiful cat.  And yes, cute.  I do have a soft spot for cats, they're just such cool critters.

I'm going to say True, True, False.  Antarctica is dubious.

I love the Lion King! I don't watch it that often though, cause it makes me very sad...
Although, it's pretty much the #1 of all Disney movies ;)

OMG Le'eylan, you are incredibly awesome. I laughed so many times while reading this! I love your answers. I didn't know we had so much in common about what kinds of movies we liked. I'm glad you enjoy being a Na'vi KS because we sure do enjoy having you :) I don't know what we'd do without your wonderful lessons and art! This was a very pleasurable read :)
