Tell us about yourself! Where are you coming from, what languages do you speak, what do you do, how old are you, tell us a few words about your family, work etc. This is the job interview part.

Kaltxì! Some people might know me already. I'm Kxeyo and like to waste all my time here. I'm from Germany, 17 years old, live a boring family life with my parents, my grandma and my sister, go to a school for nice education and I can't wait to be 18. I like to speak English, my French is rather bad and in school I learned Latin and hated it! I'd love to study Spanish or something rather special like Hungarian. I'd like to be a musician one day, preferably a componist, an audio engineer or a producer. I like the States and want to visit them one day. After all, I'm not a typical member of our family. Many of us don't like the States. Or other stuff I like. Mainly it's my dad, but my family's really strange...well, doesn't matter. I've already survived it for 17 years and 10 months.

Why are you here?

What brought you here to the Learn Na'vi forum in the first place? Did you fall in love with the language? With Pandora? With a character? Did someone invite you? Or did you stumble upon this site? Once here, why did you decide to stay? How much time do you spend here every day?

I joined this site because I liked it a lot. How I discovered it is a rather stupid story: I wondered how you'd call the language the nahwiiii (that's how I pronounced the word) speak. Nobody explained it in the movie, I thought it was strange. I ended up looking for the language first on Wikipedia and Wikipedia send me to Learnnavi.com. That's where I downloaded the activity book and the dictionary, got it printed and then I joined this forum after studying for one week. I've always been willing to learn, but faced difficulties. Gave up at least three times and started again. Currently I'm a numeyu at NgayNume, I finally found professional help, you could say. I come here every day because I love the people here. They're all friendly. And I end up staying here all day because I'm hopelessly addicted to the internet. So it seems. I'm on my way to 100 days total time logged in.

Where do your alias and profile pic come from?

Do they have a special significance? Is you alias a translation of your real name, or just a bunch of random letters thrown together? Is that you on your profile pic?

My profile pic reflects my mood. That's what I usually tell people when they ask me why I change mine so often. It's kinda true, there's never a perfect profile pic out there. You can get tired of yours, or if you're obsessed with something, that might change and soon you gotta change your wallpaper, persona and profile pic. Anyway, currently Bjork can be seen on my profile pic. She's very beautiful, I love her music and her new album's kind of new-ageish.

Kxeyo Te Eanari Tsenu'itan is a na'vi name I made up. Kxeyo is what I worked out after one week, I almost called myself Seykx or Txull. I wanted to have an ejective in my name and played with that. In the end I had like...50 unsatisfying possibilities? "Kxeyo" was the best decision I could make. "Te Eanari" sounded beautiful, that's why I've chosen it. And "Tsenu" is actually a na'vi name out of the dictionary. I hope Tsenu's nice, never met him before.

How well? Why did you start to learn it? What is your ultimate goal with the language? Do you have specific methods/tools you use in learning the language? How did your friends, family, or colleagues react to your interest in learning Na'vi? Have you told them at all? Have you converted any of them?

Kxawm. Tbh: Kehe, not really. But I try my best. I'm still interested in learning the language and hope I get motivated enough and actually start to understand the language once the NgNu lessons start. Na'vi oer sunu ulte fpìl oe a ly'fìa vayar eltur tìtxen sivi.

What's you favorite Na'vi word? Did you incorporate it (or others) into your everyday vocab?

I guess my current favorite is Kxll. Though Atxkxe isn't bad either. I like the strange sounding words I can practice on. Taronyu taught me pronounciation. At least a bit.

In your opinion, what are the top three user-created content on the LN website?

Anything from the main site, the wiki, or the forum including language docs, threads, quotes, literary works, images, etc.

Alyara Arati writes beautiful poems. They remind me as well of her devotion to Na'vi, a devotion I haven't got. Yet.
Taronyu himself said he did nothing else than compile words. Still he played an important role in language development with his dictionary. That's why this guy is just great!
Talis is the master of Na'vi music! I love all of his songs!

Have you made any contributions to the LN community that you're particularly proud of?

What made you make those? Do you plan on contributing (again) in the future? How?

Sadly not. I'd like to contribute though. I only posted a bit fìtsenge so far...maybe that changes. Again, I hope that NgayNume will have some influence on me. Even if that's utopian.

What is it that you liked/hated the most about Avatar ?

How many times have you seen it? How big of an Avatard are you? Prove it!

What I really enjoyed while watching Avatar for the first time was the 3D effect. Beyond that, the Na'vi and their world were so fascinating that I felt for them. I didn't cry the first time watching the movie, but from the second time on onwards. It's because it just all got worse. My hunger for Pandora and the creatures and people living there is still present today...
It's not the movie itself I hated, I didn't even hate parts of it. It's what people made of it: They just all think it's a movie with great special effects and a cheesy story. I don't even understand how blind people can be, nor do I see any relations between Avatar and Pocahontas. And I just hate to argue about it.

I've seen the movie...8 times? Don't watch it too often, I want to keep the feelings upright that overwhelm me while watching it. I didn't even look at the special edition stuff and the deleted scenes. But I will when I'm home alone again, nobody wants to watch Avatar with me.

Has Avatar  changed your life in any way?

Are you trying to become a Na'vi? How and to what extent? Do you live on a tree? Do you wear your hair in a long braid? Or are you just simply blue? Do you bond with animals? Is Gaia on your contact list? Did you have your photo 'shopped?

Definitely. I'm not talking about the forum I joined though. Avater opened my eyes. As a consequence, I'd say I became a better person. I started to hate society, I realized that humanity is evil by nature, I decided to aim for change. I'm more self-confident now, I love nature and feel connected to "tree huggers" (since Avatar's such a tree hugger movie ), I changed my habits concerning eating, electricity and such, I even started to be interested in spiritual stuff. Avatar shaped me. What I ignored until now is the other aspect of "Avatar" lifestyle. Well...I don't want to become a na'vi. A cosplay would be cool though, I'd like to become one with nature now and then and I would love to learn how to fully respect life and how to "feel" what life is. I'm more than just a fanboy.

If you could ask Frommer or Cameron three movie or language related questions what would they be?

Cameron: What does sexuality mean to the Na'vi and what are their views on sexual freedom, i.e. all kinds of relationships?
Frommer: How does Na'vi develop in your opinion and do you think that Avatar 2 and 3 will have much influence on the popularity of Na'vi?
Cameron: How far, in your opinion, are you knowledgable about Indian culture and religion, all sorts of native tribes and lucid dreams?

I know, these questions all cover vast topics. I guess I'm a bit too curious.

What else do you do in you free time?

Not too much. I'm addicted to the internet. Well, I play bass guitar and piano. I like to read. I tried myself at barefooting without my parents knowing, but that's hard. I like to go shopping and spend all my money on anything. If I feel stressed, I relax on my sofa with my headphones on. Oh, and I like to go out. Too bad that's so expensive.

Name your top three favorite Earth animals from most favorite to least. Why those? What's the animal you're most terrified of?

Dogs: Dogs are the funniest, greatest, most loveable, snuggly, loyal and friendly animals in the world. Yep. Need I say more?

Big cats: Does that count? Big cats? I can never decide whether I like tiger, cheetah, leopard, lion or cougar or jaguar or any other animal of that group I've forgotten best. There's something about big cats that I like. Maybe it's because they look so dangerous, yet there's always a cute side - like in "The Lion King". HRH.

Horses: I don't know why, but horses kinda grew on me. I think my friends are responsible for that. I've never been on horseback, the last time I petted a horse was a few years ago. But the stories I hear, the pictures people show to me, it all adds up to something fascinating. Horses are strong. Horses can sense how you feel. Horses take you anywhere on their backs...they're just wonderful. I don't know...

Wasps and Hornets: How I hate wasps! They're annoying. But not only that, there's nothing I fear more. Deadly spiders? Ok. They're uncommon, wasps though are EVERYWHERE. I always end up being the one stinged, I'm too afraid to kill wasps and rather run away and hornets, these are the worst. They're threatened, I heard, so I'd never kill one even if I was brave enough. But they're big and look poisonous to me. Pure evil.

Pirate, ninja, zombie, or robot?

Something else? Maybe a combo? Exactly what subtype? Why? (For those of you not so versed in trash tropes, this question basically amounts to asking "What superpowers would you like to have?")

I hate that question. Should I say "none of these"? I'm familiar with this "thingy", I just neither like pirates nor ninjas nor zombies nor robots. You could give me wings though. That'd be cool, to be able to fly.

What three items would you take to a desert island and why?

Anything from books, movies, games, instruments, music, sporting equipment, etc. You'd be provided with means to fully utilize the chosen items – electricity, MP3 player, etc. –, but you couldn't use them for anything else. Escape is not possible.

The task said items, not humans. So I decided not to write here that I'd take a good friend with me...since a friend is not an item. Or shouldn't be. Here they are, my three items. I'm assuming I'm all alone and can still  for myself:

Sketchbook - I cannot draw really well, but drawing is a good activity on a lonely island. Or writing poems and stories.
MP3 player with all my music - Because that's the only thing that might keep me from going crazy on a desert island.
Surfboard - I did windsurfing once, that's all my experience. But I thought about what I always wanted to do for real and being so close to the sea...well, surfing seems great to me.

If you could travel to anywhere in space and time (including fictional universes), where would you go and why?

One of the most difficult questions for me. I wanted to say Pandora, but...as a human? The na'vi would kill me! I'd like to live a peaceful life as a na'vi, sure, but not as a human on Pandora! So I came up with something else...
I'd travel to August 15, 1969, then stay for three days. And that makes me a goddamn hippie...yes, I'd visit Woodstock and share the love. I see the festival as a milestone, somewhat a myth, but totally like a painting. A strange event that even seemed unreal to the people that were there. It's something magical I'd like to experience as well.

If you were granted one single wish what would it be?

A better world is all I wish for. Peace on earth, tolerance and equality. What, you say that are three wishes and I'm cheating? Ok, I'm cheating. My wish is just too big for a single wish. If you made me choose though, peace comes first. Basically like I've written it above, first peace, then tolerance, then equality. These are the things we need. Apart from animal welfare and environmentalism (sorry, couldn't help it. ).

What is a question you'd ask yourself? How would you answer it?

Q: Are you just damn lazy or too stupid for school?

A: Neither, I'd say. I am lazy, but know how important good marks are. The reason why I feel like I fail too often and the reason why my marks could be better...I blame it on the teachers who are partly real bad ones and on my parents whio discourage me. How are you supposed to study if someone tells you you are too stupid? (I'm sorry, but this is what's going on in my head usually. )

I decided to tell a friend about my geekyness and that I attempted to learn some Na'vi. When we were all alone and we came into a bigger discussion, I raised the topic. She took it quite well. Learning Na'vi wasn't strange to her. Not stranger than cryptography. My Life is AVTR.

Hard to tell. And of course embarassing. Well...I guess I'm a bit weird sometimes and so embarassing situations occur rather often. For some extra weirdness, listen up...
Totally embarassing: Getting caught doing something by your parents. Not only naughty stuff (that happened twice )...last week, I craved for nutella. And after grabbing the jar, I didn't really think. So I dipped my hands into it and stuffed everything into my mouth. Not everything, tbh. Don't ask me, I decided to smeat the stuff, after I covered my hands with it, in my face. *cough* Guess who was coming home by that time. I ran into my room and tried to lick everything clean. Took me half an hour and I still had to run into the bathroom without someone looking at me to wash the last bits off.

Well, I guess that's it. That was an incredible short week!

I guess you all want to know the answers, so...

1. The only sport I did actively in my whole life was dancing. And I still do it.

FALSE. I did many sports before, like Badminton for example. Never for a long time, though. So what's actually true about this statement? I like dancing - and it's the only sport I do. Of course, people like to tell me it's not a real sport, but even if they're right I still think it's fun.

2. I'm righthanded. Nevertheless, I use left-handed scissors.

TRUE. That's what I taught myself, you could say. When I was really young and my parents taught me how to use a scissor, I had difficulties using my right hand to cut. So I always took the scissors in my left hand and so my parents let me choose which way I prefer. I chose left and since then I'm a lefty - to 10%, let's say.

3. There's only one thing in the world that totally grosses me out: Body hair.

TRUE. Wearing a beard? No way. My arms? They look like those of a monkey (that's what my sister said). And she's right, they're totally hairy. Eww...so I decided to take the initiative and do something. I shave my legs, shaving arms didn't work out that well. I'd rather wax...if mom would let me. I hate body hair. I like smooth, hairless skin. But that's just my opinion.



Someone guessed right. Lolet. That totally surprised me, but on the other hand, I guess she had the edge over all the others. Whatever: Congrats ma Lolet, you receive karma.
