THIS IS FOR PERMANENT TRIBE DISCUSSION ONLY!!!

There will be no summer camp discussion in this board.  If you don't approve of this idea, please don't post here.
Irayo.

Now then ^^

Kaltxì ma aysmuk!
This thread is for everyone looking to be a part of a permanent tribe one of these days/years.
Please post here if you want to be a part of it.  I will make a list so we don't get confused, or perhaps a separate thread ^^
Please feel free to quote any pertinent info from other threads in here for others to reference!

I am personally quite excited to be a part of this!  I hope that you all are just as excited!
For those who don't know who I am [how?!] I am Unil Txep, healer [medic] in training!  I am the shaman's [Uriuujun] left hand.

So, start the discussion!!

Eywa ulte Gaia ngahu.

Please PM me if you are still interested in the real Na'vi tribe.

Hey, I would like to be a part of a permanant tribe.
Maybe we could host the summer camp tribes as well.
That way we wouldn't have to get two seperate places and we will all be able to meet up and the place would be in good repair all of the time for the summer tribe because we would be there the rest of the time.
What do you think?

I'm very much interested in participating in a permanent tribe (as soon as I'm old enough to be free from my parents, yup). As for the same location idea, I'm much for that as long as there's separate housing for summer camp people.

Since the day I was born my depest urge was to live out in a tribe in the wilderness so yes im interested, very interested.

I have a lot of usefull skills hunting, fishing, archery, carpendry, pottery, and plus I have like memorized the SAS survival guide which people sould read if they are going to do this some day.

Join the real life Na'vi tribe here  (And yes, it will be a real tribe in the real world, NOT a role play tribe!)

The old Uriuujìn

You know my position on this, tsmuke ^_^

I would love to be a member of this permanent tribe, though I must tell you now- Permanent it may be, I cannot stay there all the time. I still have other things that must be taken care of in my life, even after the tribe is established. ^_^;

Okay, I'm gonna start a thread [or Uruujin...] for people to post what they can contribute to the tribe, their location, gender, and such.
I will group people according to their regions, of course, in that first post.  It'll make it easier than scrolling through page after page ^^

Alright, the thread is up.  Please, go and post your profile! It will help a lot! Thanks ma aysmukan!

EDIT: Resume discussion for Tribe name :D

Please PM me if you are still interested in the real Na'vi tribe.

How about the tribe and the summer camps are the same place, but the people who are members of the permanent tribe actually live there.

So the permanent members are like the summer camp staff.

Quick question, how is all this going to be payed for? Even if we can get the donations to start this up, how will it be continuously funded? Does permanent mean always living there, or will everyone have outside jobs?

bagget00

Maybe outside jobs or maybe selling what we make if we make anything that has monetary value. Or someone here wins the lottery and says "Here you go."

i would like to be a part of this tribe too. im only 16 (17 this Feb.) but when im of age,out of high school, and have the money, i would love to buy into the community and contribute. i also noticed that on the original thread while we were discussing generators and stuff, someone mentioned gasoline and keeping it to a minimum. i personally dont think we should use gasoline what so ever except for the cars of course.

  • it could catch fire accidentally
  • there may be a spill which would be very toxic to any plant life nearby or water source
  • burning of gasoline will realease large amounts of CO and other toxins which is damaging to plant life, just because plants have the ability to take in CO and CO2 and release O2, too much of this at once is harmful

You're first two points make sense, but the lasts one doesn't.

We've been having millions of cars all over the planet drive all over the place 24/7, and you're worried that small generator's worth of CO2 would harm the plants?

Personally, I don't think we'd need a gas generator.

We have wind power, human power, and water power. Why would we need gas power?

the thing is is that those emissions are in urban areas. this generator would be in the middle of the forest giving off these gasses directly to plant life that is not necessarily even used to all that, even if we only run the generator during an emergency, better not to expose the forest to it at all.

Plants need CO2... The reason that CO2 is harmful is because it gets in the atmosphere.

yea but too much of a good thing can be bad, even for plants right, though i may be wrong. :-\
