I have created a Wikipedia Babel language template for Na'vi.
Add |navi-1| to your Wikipedia:Babel box on your user page.
Mine is {{Babel|en-N|de-1|navi-1|zh-1|browser:Mozilla_Firefox}}
The text that is on the template needs improving, have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_navi-1

'eylan na'viyä

txantsan!
although it would be even cooler if wikipedia would allow Na'vi as language for Articles ;)

I think Wikipedia clearly states that a language need at least 1000 native speakers to be added. Na'vi has none unfortunatly.

I'm not sure of Wikipedia rules, but it has articles in many conlangs, e.g. in Volapuk, which can hardly number a few dozens of speakers, not to mention native speakers. So, I think, Na'Vi may have a good chance to become one of the languages of Wiki.

There are many good Na'vi speakers. Not native, but good. Unfortunately, Wikipedia says that there is only 1 speaker and non-native speaker. Guess who? paul frommer.

bump.

Only 3 people have put this on their Wikipedia page...
I mean, come on, if we want to show Wikipedia that we are a language that deserves our own Wikipedia translation, we need more people to do this!

What is, in fact, a language template? I wish I could help, but I don't even really understand what it is :o

Yes people, all start to mail wikipedia. When they get so many questions for it they have to do it.
There even are translations for two dialects in the Netherlands (Frisian and Limburgish).
There are also wikipedias with <10 articles... So why not start a Na'vi one?

A Wikipedia Language Template is a section for a Babel box on your user page.
If you have a Wikipedia account, edit your user page and paste this in:
{{Babel|navi-1}}
If you don't have a Wikipedia account, create one, and do the same as above.

This will help us get seen on Wikipedia, and maybe even have our own Wikipedia created.

Hey,

I know this topic is old but I felt it needed to start this. I saw this and have done some research, the research lead me to a very interesting wikipedia article (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Klingon_Wikipedia) They state lojban and other constructed languages have wikipeidas as there are a number of speakers. I'm actually not too clued up on lojban and I cannot make any sort of acurate comparision between us (na'vi community) and them (lojban community).

There was something which attracted my attaintion http://klingon.wikia.com/wiki/ghItlh%27a%27 This is a klingon wiki, it moved after wikipedia stopped supporting the language along with another language called Toki Pona (not actually sure what this is). Would It be an idea to build up pages on there? I'm not sure if that will help or hinder our efforts...

I have anyway put the template into my wikipedia account. Don't give up on hope with this, I'm sure we'll get there eventually (I am worrying a little that this thread is becoming dead).
