Link to an open google docs file?

Also, I noticed a weird thing where using the Na'vi language plugin removes all of my friend groups except ones that I've manually translated into Na'vi and the "good friends" default.

Eh, not a big fan of google docs...

Updated, Txonä. Why would Tse'a work better? I like kame a lot more, and it also means see, don't see why it shoudln't work. You were right about tì-us- - my bad, been a while. By joined, I mean joined together with the conjunction. I know about sì and ulte - the trouble is, Facebook doesn't.

Pesu nga lu? -- isn't that who are you?

Srane, and "Who are you with" would be "pesuhu nga lu"?

I've noticed it's going to be near impossible to translate some stuff, such as religious and political beliefs.  Others such as family names just don't have that translation we're (still!!!) waiting on.

Well, you could definitely make an argument for it but kame is more "understand" than "see". To "see more" in facebook isn't to understand more about that thing or to know more about it. It's literally that you want to "see more" things. So, yes it's not wrong but I also would use tse'a there.

I think of "kame" as more for people as in to see into someone's soul. On FB the 'see more' is just to show you more of a post. It's seeing in the physical sense, not the spiritual sense. My take on it.

Updated. Thanks for your help, 'Oma Tirea.

Ok guys, I'll change it to Kame. But I don't have to be happy about it. :P

Updated list at front.

Taronyu

Removed some extra color markings for the list, meaning that I can fit the whole thing at the front now. Translate away, guys!

Grabbing more words off of Facebook also cool, especially for those of you who use English (US). :D

Just wondering, but I assume there's no easy way to change the "What's on your mind" bit on Facebook, right?

Ftiafpi

Some suggested translations:

Reposition... = rikx
Remove = 'aku
Cover photo = rel mì fäpa

Search by home town = Fwew fa Kelutral

Finished editing = Lu hasey

The string to change 'What's on your mind' is as follows:
user_message_prompt | string | The label (which could be in the form of a question) that appears above the text box on the Feed form next to the Facebook-provided question, "What's on your mind?".

I hope this helps.

Pushed those translations. Thanks.

No, there isn't really a way to change the 'what's on your mind?' at the moment (although, thanks Elfen Lied). There's something with the script we have that basically breaks the form. It's the same for one or two other translations. I think Zarek is looking into it (or at least, said he was. It's been 24 days without a commit to his fork, so who knows? I'll ask.)

Should probably mention there's now a fledgling Dothraki one, too.

akiwiguy

Yeah, I'm looking into it. It _should_ work with the current code, I can't see why it doesn't...

More translations:

Report Group = Plltxänge teri fìpongu
Provide Feedback = Plltxe teri fì'u
Leave Group = Hum pongu
Settings... = Aysìftxey
Choose a unique image for your group = Ftxey relti fpi ngeyä pongu

Reposition... = Rikx
Remove... = 'aku
Cover photos = Lew

Search by interest = Fwew fa säsulìn

Trips = Aysìsop
Add Photos to Map = Yem ayrelti atxkxerelur
University = Apxa numtseng

I'm wondering if we could have a central place to have these translations rather than scatted throught the thread, me and some others are helping to translate diaspora (a social network platform) and some of these are prooving useful, any we might translate also might be useful. Maybe we could sort something out, just thinking it could be useful to both parties, we currently translating not by script but there is a service Diaspora use but I can't see why I couldn't copy our translations across so you can use them also (if you wish that is).

Taronyu

There is a central place. I update the post at the beginning, and the github itself has the translations in one file...

Looks like my version might be old. Will be trying the new one in a bit, when I get some time.

We need a version of this for mobile phones and android mp3s and the ipod touch

If you can find a browser that supports Greasemonkey userscripts for iOS/Android I'll adapt this for the mobile Facebook.

Is it just me or does having the Na'vi app enabled kill the "show more" link at the end of a long status update someone makes on facebook?

akiwiguy

I can't say I've experienced that. I'll look into it.
