Mods! With the community growing as quickly as I anticipate/hope, we'll need some moderators. Anyone have forum/modding experience?

Also, designers, hello! As pretty as the default skin for the forum is, we might need something a bit more... Avatar-esque. Who's up for some photoshopping?

I very much enjoy photo editing and creating images for web layouts. If someone can provide me with ideas, I might be able to help.

I've moderated 'Just Graphics' for Ambrosia Software's webboard for about 5 years so far, and a simplemachines webforum elsewhere for about a year -- I'd be down for a mod position.

I have some Mod experience, but nothing too fancy.  However, if you ever need any videos edited or commercials made, I am your man.  

Well... I'm the community manager for a game-focused hardware company. That includes an awful lot of forum-moderatin'... I suppose I wouldn't mind moonlighting in a volunteer-sort-of-way. :-)

I've, in general, moderated/admined phpBB (in a few versions), SMF, and vBulletin, at the very least.

I'm very certain that you can modify/add ranks in SMF.

Administrator > Global Moderator > Forum Moderator > Average Poster

there can be many global and forum mods, but I think that's the basic breakdown

Edit: I don't really know smf forums, so I don't know what you can change in the skin or not. But I think a good way to begin would be to change the colours of the forum. I think something blueish with dark tons (black or so) could be the beginning. Then we could see how to integrate more avatarish things into it.

I would happily be a forum mod for any area we need one.

I will gladly become a forum moderator. I have been a mod for over 4 years on www.battledawn.com and have experience running my own forums too. I just started to learn Na'vi last night, when I came across this forum, which has already helped me more than any other resource I can find.

I also know SMF's code like the back of my hand, so if you need any modifications etc, just ask

EDIT: durr... just realized you didn't need any more mods.
I used to be a mod for the 'spam'-sections of a forum. Make sure things didn't get out of hand, and organize games and whatnot.

If you ever need more mods, I'd gladly help. I currently run/mod several forums, mostly about LARP.
As for artwork, I can do some too but I can't promise I'll be very quick with it.

I have experience providing support.

But with my full time work, I will only be capable of part time support.
