bigger screen?

the title says it all. i was resentlly looking around the new section of google for anything avatar related. i found this and pretty much had a heart attack:

Since its original theatri-cal debut on Dec. 18, "Avatar" has topped the list of highest-grossing films ever by earning $2.73 billion, exceeding the previous high of $1.84 billion set by another Cameron film, "Titanic," according to the Internet Movie Database.

6-stories high??? dear god help us all. comment on this piece of news. (i wonder if it would be hard to see the top at all...)

did they not show it on the biggest screens available already?
the screen in the cinema i went in is said to be 7 stories high.
i dont know if it is really that high but it's at least the biggest in Europe (600m²) <- funny fact: its also built completely underground in an historical city district.

still wondering from where they got the money to build this gigantic complex in this small city.

the biggest imax is afaik in Sydney 1000². i dont know but i assume that they show avatar there too.

i didn't say it wasn't impressive. it was awsome.And i'm also happy to have seen it in the best possible way in an radius of about 5000 miles

Twice? Ha! I've seen it many more times than that and I'd even fly there to see it on the giant screen!

If it even puts the twice thing to rest i've only seen it once and only once on a IMAX screne. pretty pathetic, but hopfully my mother lets me see it in IMAX again (or the 6 story screne yeah right $:-\$ ) when it comes back out this summer.

Wow. when do I want a screen like that in my house. imagine the parties you could throw with a home theater like that. I can see it now.... I would make a list :
popcorn maker & popcorn.
jumbo screen and speakers.
hundreds of comfy bean chairs.
and of corse avatar.

oh and i'll probably need an excuse for when the cops show up and yell at me for disturbing the peace. he he going to jail for a while would be soooo worth it.
