I'm afraid eylanya is not correct. It's plural and -ya was used with singulars olny.

Oer wivìntxu ngal oey keyeyt krr a tse'a sat. Frakrr.

As far as I know, PMs to Markì and Seze are on their way to provide the original versions recorded by Talis ;)

Yes, I send them PMs as well as emails with the songs in it.

well... did it work? ma Markì? ma Seze?

Well, you could always throw on the ' .  ;)

This is how I know the rule:

   Tsm. Wm.Annis' document

   Page 28

   CHAPTER 6. SYNTAX

6.2.8.2. Collective nouns may take the suffix -ya, as in mawey, Na'viya, mawey (be) calm, people, (be) calm!

If Na'vi is the only collective noun (in the singular) that includes sentient beings capable of understanding that they are being addressed by other sentient beings (who know or do not know how to correctly use the 'vocative'), then «Na'viya» may be an essentially fixed form.

Our friendly alternative, «ma Frapo» is sounding better and better all the time.  ;)

The rule is nor eylanya neither 'eylanya is correct. But there could be other collective nouns, e.g. frapo (frapoya - but now seriously I doubt if that's correct. That is derived from fra-po, and fra- is just affix and po is not collective) or olo' (olo'ya - that is rather OK) or nouns that we don't know yet: mob, audience, nation etc.

If somebody works out a good translation of Adeste Fideles I'd be more than willing to provide a descant.  I've always thought it was especially beautiful with the high, floating counterpoint, and even if I'm Wiccan I love Christmas Carols, have since I was a little bitty thing no bigger than a nantang cub :D

Sorry for the delay! Weekends typically have me out blowing up scenery on movie sets and this weekend was in a bad cellphone coverage area - no wireless internet!

These EXCELLENT songs are now on the main LearnNavi server in the following locations:

At the risk of being presumptuous, I took the liberty of cleaning the leaders and trailers of dead air and normalized the audio levels on the mp3s.

These are fabulous renditions of these songs in Na'vi. I can't stop listening to them!   :)
