Of course not, how could we? ;) Thanks for providing the space. :)

Added the links as well as the missing lyrics to the first post – enjoy. And have fun  next time you sing a few Christmas songs at a Karaoke bar ;D

I think I might take a stab at converting this old favourite.

Oh, the rising of the sun and the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ, sweet singing in the choir.

Replace deer with hexapedes, merry organ with drums... this song seems like it was made for the Na'vi!

How does this bit sound:

Ayoeng lu kelutralä txa'ta'leng!
Awngeyä sukru smaoeto leiu pxi!

Please tell me if you see mistakes in a Na'vi post of mine. It's the only way I'll learn. :P

so far i believe that section has been pretty much reserved for recordings of him.

There was something about this in Klingon today, so why not submit the Na'vi version?

Prrton

This is super nice. I have a few questions/suggestions...

---

Krr a fìutral slamu fyeyn, fì'u Kelutral slamu! (Kelutral awngeyä slolu!)
Pxaya ayutral (more grammatical with 'tree(s)' as utral. Pxaya indicates multiplicity.) lu na'rìngmì ngian fì'u lu frato fkew!

Tsawke livu kifkeyru, ulte ayyerik atusul (nìteng (??)) (Wil it fit in the melody?), [livu kifkeyru]
Lefpoma (I'm not technically sure that fpom can apply to drums. What meaning do you want to convey?) ayaut stivawm Omatikayal, ulte sìrolit sleykivu [Omatikayal]
(Why are all of the verbs in the subjunctive? It sounds like a prayer (that nothing ever change? (May so-and-do, and may so-and-so) I'm just not sure. Perhaps this is coming from the original lyrics? It's not wrong. I just want to be sure.)

Ayoeng lu Kelutralä kxetse! Awngal ayhì'angit keykä!
Eywa leiu frato kusame (This is not grammatical. K-us-ame must be attributive with an attached -a-.) How about «Eywal kameie fra'uti» as an alternative with a very similar meaning?), poe (Marking gender here is redundant, but OK if you need it for the rhythm.) leiu Tsahìk kifkeyä! Some would argue that She is in a much bigger relationship to the world, but you could think of her as «Po lu Tsahìk frapeyä!» and she still keeps all those other responsibilities too. Of course, it's not wrong as you have it at all. Just an idea.

Tsawke livu kifkeyru, ulte ayyerik atusul, [livu kifkeyru]
Lefpoma ayaut stivawm Omatikayal, ulte sìrolit sleykivu [Omatikayal]

Ayoeng lu Kelutralä txa'ta'leng (bark?, If so I think just ta'leng could work, if OK with rhythm)! Awngeyä sukru smaoeto lu pxi!
Nawma sa'nokil namokx (nolokx is a bit more idiomatic) awngati, fratìrey leiu Eywayä hapxì!

Tsawke livu kifkeyru, ulte ayyerik atusul, [livu kifkeyru]
Lefpoma ayaut stivawm Omatikayal, ulte sìrolit sleykivu (What meaning do you intend for this exactly?) [Omatikayal]

Awnga lu Kelutralä ayfam! Eveng kelku si mìkam (insert 1 space here) fayvul!
Na'vi lu kawnameiea (technically you can't infix this with -ei- if in -awn-) sute, trro layu oe Eywahu

---

I love that you used «smaoe» for that comparision!! Brilliant.

Overall the meaning is great and it's a beautiful song. I only personally know the voices of Judy and Talis. Either would do your song proud!!

Thanks for this Prrton! Always good to have a second opinion!

Here's my revised version.

Krr a fìutral slamu fyeyn, Awngeyä kelutral slolu!

Tsawke layu kifkeyru, ulte ayyerik atusul              (not sure I can fit nìteng unless I remove something else, and I like having atusul at the end of that line)

Tsawke layu kifkeyru, ulte ayyerik atusul

Wou! Progress! I've changed the iv infixes to ay. That should make things a bit more positive.

As far as 'lefpoma' drums go, i want to say that they will hear the drums that signify peace.

Leaving out nìteng is fine.

txa'ta'leng is easy to chalk up to poetic license.

QuoteLefpoma ayaut stayawm awngeyal, ulte sìrolit sleykayu

Based on what I understand about your intention this needs a bit of work maybe:

Fpom(ì)ri ayaul munge awngar, (nì)tengfya sìrolit 'eykong
(The drums bring us (this atmosphere of) peace just as they drive the songs to unfold)

«Awngeyal» is not grammatical. It would be «awngal» or «ayoengal» (a͡i.ˈwɛŋ.al) I believe «ayoengìl» is off the board (??).

Either nìtengfya or tengfya should work. You can adjust to the rhythm.

Topical on FPOM is probably OK in this poetic context.

Nice song.  ;D
