Someone should probably let them know that they have "tweng" instead of "tewng" in their loincloth entry, hrh  ;D

I have already sent up the use of C in Omatikaya, the incorrect spelling of tewng and the apparent new/incorrect use of srä.  -Markì

I saw the srä usage as well (under 'sash' in  the Tawkami section), and I suspect this is new usage rather then erroneous usage. I know of some human disciplines where a ceremonial textile is called a 'cloth'. I did kind of expect a new word here, though.

I also found an interesting Naʼvi word, at least partially in error, in the entry for "Healing rose". The Tawtute scientific name given for this plant is 'Sílronzem rosea', which I suspect is supposed to be 'Sìlronsem rosea'. I did 'send this up' on their contact email.

We also have a few other new little tidbits: Two new animals, an 'Austrapede' and a 'Turtapede'. We also have a new ceremonial term for a Banshee rider-- Ikran Makto. Richard Littaeur ('Taronyu') will be delighted to know that the first Banshee rider ever was named 'Taronyu'.

There was also a couple English spelling errors as well. Under the explanation of the Tipani symbol, they used 'stock' for 'stalk', and under 'Kelkunan battle band', there is a part of a proverb that says 'belief is oneself', when I suspect it should be 'belief in oneself'.

I discovered this recently...if you go to the main Cirque Toruk page (www.cirquedusoleil.com/toruk) and scroll down a little to where it says "Enter Pandora", it's like a cool scavenger hunt type thing where you scroll/pan through all these different and beautiful Pandoran landscapes and find hidden objects pertaining to 5 Na'vi clans (including the Omaticaya) and learn about those clans as you go along. The 4 other clans are all new to me so it was interesting to learn about them, and I bet they will probably be featured somehow in the Cirque show itself. There's also a contest/sweepstakes you can enter to win a "Behind the Scenes" experience at a Cirque Toruk show (so of course I entered it).

And...scroll further down on the main Toruk page to where it says "Inside the Creators' Studios" to watch videos with the show creators and the puppet designer. You'll also be able to see concept art/drawings of some of the animal/creature puppets that'll appear in the show -- very cool!  :D
Oh, I didn't notice before, thanks for info. Unfortunately, only people from USA can register to win, as far as I understand. But still nice excursion to Pandora.

Srä came into being right after AvatarMeet 2013 where I spent some time talking to Karyu about the Na'vi activity/profession of weaving and textile making. One of the commonly woven cloths (aysrä) would be loincloths/hip-sashes so this new more specific use makes sense in my eyes. It's like how you can call any kind of dog a dog, but you can also call the very specific breed, say Siberian Husky, a dog.

Also it's so pretty, I need to make one for my cosplay. Does anyone know if this stuff is canon? I'd hate to make up cosplay backstory with the tawkami tribe only to have to back petal later.

Tirea Aean

I wanna say it's all canon but I don't really have any good means to verify.  Our admin Toruk Makto has cool connections, maybe he would know if CdS TORUK show stuff/storyline is canonized based on if those guys are working with LEI or not.

Cirque is in contact with Paul and LEI. Things are getting organized.

Canon it is then, methinks. :)

Well, don't jump to conclusions.  ;) Nothing on the Cirque promo site has been corrected yet.

Probably everyone know that interactive site:
https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/toruk/pandora?explore

Friend of me ask, is there possibility to grab hi-res images from that site and create wallpaper? Few hours later, i got this simple code (look at site source): http://www.ertew.tk/av/av.html
Of course, every images belong to authors. Also, please don't try to open this on mobile devices.

I wouldn't know about getting the images for wallpapers, unless you right click and save the image. And about mobile devices, I have been on the site on PC and it looks like it will eat up lots of data.
Avatar, Furry, Amateur Astronomy, IT, PC gaming, Minecraft, Fortnite, music.

*too curious, does this anyway*

Hey it actually looks pretty good in landscape on my phone. :D

Ertew

Yes, thats few mega of hi-res images, rendered for 1400 vertical resolution. HD was only 1080 minus browser and system horizontal bars, so most peoples see lower res version.

Tirea Aean, you have powerful phone. My can't handle that graphic load. Also, mobile data transfer can hurt.
