I have been working, eating and sleeping for the past week. But when I can get a chance, I drop an email to my contact at Boise State and see if they recorded it. They very well may have, because everyone was miked.

Finally, some pictures from Boise State!

Here is a picture of the venue, which I guess seats between 300 and 400 people. There were about 300 people in attendance. In the dark in the back, under the higher of the two green exit signs, is Paul Frommer. He had just stepped into the room when I took this picture.

Paul and Marc were seated on a platform at the front of the room, with the moderator (whose name has escaped me, and I can't seem to find it). In this picture, Marc Okrand is speaking while Paul listens.

This time, Paul is speaking while Marc listens. The presentation lasted nearly 90 minutes, with Paul and Marc answering questions that had been placed on cards by the audience. It was very interesting to hear about both Paul's and Marc's interesting and surprisingly diverse backgrounds. (Neither of these men started out with a linguistic career in mind!)

After the presentation, a reception was held for some of the attendees. This was an opportunity to talk to both Paul and Marc, and this went on for another 2 hours. I walked away with a new appreciation for Na`vi (and Klingon and Vulcan and Romulan and Atlantean....), and am more excited than ever to be learning this beautiful language!

There were some other media reports about this presentation, which was a big deal on campus. Here is a story from the student newspaper The Arbiter:

Checking out Boise State Linguistics Association's Facebook page is really interesting. A lot of people really enjoyed this presentation!

Agreed! Thank you very much, I was worried we'd never get to see these.
