Hostility - Time to calm down?

Ok posting this up as i've noticed it growing over the last few days, and today was VERY bad. But it has to do with the hostility some members are showing to the newer ones in most noticably skype.


I don't know what it is, or why anyone thinks they can talk down to newcomers the way they do, but to be honest I think its completely out of line.


I would like to point out to EVERY SINGLE PERSON the only authority at this time on Na'vi is Frommer. Now whilst yes correctng others and helping them is good and should even be encouraged, attacking others blindly calling them idiots for small pronounciation errors is in no way helping things.


Id just like to point this out. And if you feel the need to correct everything people say or post and get annoyed with it, then either you should take a time out or find another hobby. Everyone has to start somewhere, and attacking them will not give them any reason to keep going. Counter productive no?


So before people go Na'zi (see what i did thar?) on people take a step back, offer good constructed advice but don't think it gives you the right to talk down nd attack others.

Mostly on skype this happens, but skype is quite active and a lot of newbies come there to just listen to some of us practicing in voicechats, however as more often then not multiple voicechats are going on, when people like those mentioned in the first post are talking down and attacking others it realy doesn't feel right for newcommers to see that.
