Quote from: Excerpt
Na'vi, the invented language spoken by alien characters in the top-grossing Hollywood blockbuster Avatar, is getting scholarly scrutiny by a University of British Columbia anthropology professor.

Christine Schreyer, an assistant professor of Anthropology in Community, Culture and Global Studies at the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences at UBC's Okanagan campus, is surveying the popularity of the Na'vi language around the globe.

Awesome! :D I hope the email that has been sent with this message will encourage more people to fill the survey, in case some had forgotten to take part or hadn't heard about it. :) The article is just wonderful! :D

Thank you so much for the extra publicity, Payoang!  Glad to hear we reached some new people already.  I've also already been interviewed for the local Kelowna paper, the Daily Courier, and have interest from a local radio station as well as CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company).  Looks like people are pretty interested in you all and it's great to see their interest!

Opps, I forgot to add that there is also been a change in age-limit (for those who don't know).  You can take the original survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NAVI if you are under 19

OR

you can use one designed "for kids" at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NAVIkids.

Irayo!

*Months later I return* xD. Thanks for the update. I was wondering what to do when I saw that the age limit was 19 years or older. I filled it out anyhow  :-[ . Should I fill out this new survey too? ;D

Edit: Just realised my mistake. Such a pain to realise why I make such errors  :'( (Edit 2: Cry emote seems broken)

Irayo! Quite a short article though  ??? I'd thought it'll be bigger. Oh well, can't wait to see the results too... I would love it if the language becomes worldwide official. =3
