It occurred to me that if ngrr means 'root', then maybe ngrrpxo might be best to represent some 'significant' event close to the ground, like an earthquake. That said, perhaps klltepxo might be better for 'earthquake', as kllte means 'ground'.

Since ngrr means 'root', and many here are clamoring for a 'root word' for 'read', perhaps ngrrpxo might be a good choice for 'read'.

I really LIKE the PXO idea for thunder following the pseudo vowel buildup. The rrrrrr rrrrumbling and then the PXO explosion is just great! I just think that it may be a good idea to have a few options that all riff off of that core concept and theme to present to K. Pawl. The PX and O also suggest echos of pìwopx and that's where it comes from to start with, right?

It's okay, but isn't it basically a loanword (or whatever they're called)? It seems kind of weird to make a merged word from a loanword to me for some reason.

Sran, and it is indeed the allophony of an early Na'vi loanword: badge, yet Taronyu still fails to list it in the loanwords section, for a reason I still can't understand. /rant

There is no conceivable way "read" in the usual sense of that word could be a Na'vi root word.  It is an alien concept, just like puk and kunsìp.
