That is our intent!   :)   This is normally too happy of a place to dwell on a mistake.

This is the first I've heard of the whole situation.  I have two things to say in regard to this.

1.  Markì I would never expect you to be other than open and honest.

2.  I do have a question that no one else seems to have asked.  Where did the website get the pictures?  If they weren't submitted to the website then the website is in violation of copyright law and can be sued.  If your picture is on that website and you didn't submit it, I'd suggest contacting them to find out where they got the picture.  If they got it from a Facebook page or from Tripod you're out of luck, but if they got pics from here or from another privately owned website, they could be in some serious trouble.  Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's public property.

I was thinking about #2 myself especially if they were using the photos maliciously. There may even be a defamation of character issue here if they were targeting members like that  :-\

That would be harder to prove.  You'd have to prove that they did it purposely with the intention of embarrassing the people in the photos.

It's much easier (and I might add a LOT more lucrative) to prove the copyright infringement.

Ooh, I never thought of that....
That's a good point.

We all make mistakes. (Except for me I'm perfect  :D jk)  A valuable lesson has been learned and we can take solace in the fact that it probably won't happen again. Time heals all wounds and eventually we'll all look back at this and laugh at the irony.

Our LearnNaviya Soiai is indeed a family with all the complexities and interactions of such. And like all family relationships, our founding admins mentor, cherish, defend, and if need be, discipline us. I am so glad my heart is counted among the 'olo.
