... I'm just waiting for my brother to find out.....
(he goes there most days to grab his lunch because it's not far from his uni :D)

Somehow correcting their errors doesn't seem like a way to ingratiate the language with the public.

I am thinking that if you go by there, offer some advice on where to get more precise translations (e.g. Paul Frommer) and leave it a that.  Only offer recommendation and please don't be aggressive on behalf of the community.

reason number 9001 to learn na'vi.  so that when the world becomes one large nation and an official language to be chosen, they will most likely pick Na'vi since it has no ties to any one country.  so if you learn it now, you will be ahead of everyone else :)

I beg to report no sighting of Na'vi at Southampton Asda as of 08.15 BST today :(
Though DVDs and blu ray discs sold pretty well, as far as I could see :)

I've commented on the first one with (most probably) faulty Na'vi.lol.

As far as I can find out, Morrisons and Tesco aren't bothering with anything special. And my nearest Asda is all the way over in Bromsgrove, so I ain't gonna go check.

Makes me wish I lived up Yorkshire...

Thats it, any of you Englishmen care to smuggle me across the pond? lol. If anyone gets wind of a store in the US doing the same thing be sure and post it, because so far the closest I've seen to anything like that was Best Buy on the US release date.

wow this is so weird. Kinda cool if you work there but the paintings, their happy faces and the wrong na'vi make everything look stupid.

I recommend contacting them to fix their errors. Hey, perhaps they'd even plug LN :)

Done. I've contacted them saying I approve of the sentiment but also with a correct translation of the sign and a link to audio clips of kaltxì, kìyevame and irayo in the audio dictionary.

Did they got back to you about this?

I wouldn't doubt it. People don't like being told they did something wrong.

I just got a reply from them actually saying that it's been past on to their online services division. I couldn't help but think they'd left off the "so that they could laugh too".  :P

Or they said that so they could easily explain it as having gotten "lost in the shuffle" if you ever follow up on it.

Somehow I doubt it's permanent.  :P

In fact, I imagine they've already changed it all back. ::)
