This whole thing has snowballed amazingly well, so I'm not too surprised.

It makes me more happy we went with forums instead of the mailing list, too. Ultimately, the list would have been lost to obscurity.

... Who started that list though? Because they still totally deserve a lot of props for helping to get this going, and getting the original group. :-D

Well, we're at 160 right now, in less than 72 hours.  We seem to be picking up about 60 - 65 new people a day, so if we keep this linear trend we should hit 300 right around Christmas time.

I think a lot of people that wanted to see the movie but either didnt have time due to work, or wanted to wait for the initial rush to calm down a bit will be seeing it this week. Today and tomorrow for sure, since most people are off for the holidays and the "must see's have already seen it at least once. Which translates into more people interested in the language, so google will funnel them to us.

I totally agree.  I spent quite a bit of time in google searching for info on the Na'vi language.  Got on a mailing list that absolutely destroyed my inbox because there was so much interest at the time, and then we got this crazy idea to start a forum somewhere, and well here we are.  All these ayeveng have it easy...
