Well, except to expand infinitely new populations would have to be regulated to other planets as more space was needed and we would hit a point where the time to send the membership request would exceed the time needed to maintain a steady rate of growth given the deaths of our subscribers.

That's what I meant with 'those two factors'. Other factors, like actual time and, I dunno, space, don't count. I'm well aware that an infinite amount of subscribers is impossible.
