I'm fairly sure I heard "Utral" and "rina'" in there.
Considering the setting in which they sang it in the movie, and the circumtances under which they sang it;
They just lost Hometree, and were left with nothing but the Tree of Voices, so they were gathered around it, singing; It might be a safe guess that they're singing a (Defiitely traditional, as they all seemed to know it) song to the Tree of Voices.

Neytiri has a wierd accent going on. Or maybe it's all the crying she was doing.  :-\

What about:

Utral ìlä aynga ayoe
Utral ngenga aynga ayoe
Hapxì! Hapxì txur unil aymokriyä ayoe

It's the closest I could get. Have fun with the translation :P

Kaltxi!

You know I really wish a book would be published with the words for all of the vocals on the Soundtrack. I'm miffed that they never thought people would be that excited about the language and didn't already have this done.

To me lyrics are an essential part of a song and while it sounds pretty to hear as it is, I NEED TO KNOW what they are saying. I'm sure it makes the songs that much better!

Yea I think the same way.

I have a rough translation if you want. It's not very accurate as I'm just beginning to grasp all of those grammar particularities but I think it make senses.

Anyone who can get the lyrics down is my hero! Would be a useful learning resource too, for translating exercises, etc. I'd love to be able to sing along to 'Jake's First Flight', what an amazing piece of music.

I did it a while ago. I need to go through it all again but I guess I could get this done by the end of the week. Here's the old link: http://forum.learnnavi.org/official-soundtrack-music/i-see-you-navi-translation/

Yes, someone should do that. I've been wondering what the lyrics are.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I noticed something while listening to "The Destruction of Hometree" the other day. At about 2:47, I hear what sounds like "kxangangang". In the movie, this can be heard right before a large amount of missiles are fired at Kelutrel. Does anyone else hear this?

Yea it does sound like that. It would make sense too.

Now we now that Jake's first flight is just random vowels in the beginning,
although the last part has the lyrics from The Tree Song :)
