Soundtrack of Avatar 2

There are my first feelings about music in Avatar 2, I payed attention a lot to that because I wondered about how it will be, and because Horner's soundtrack from first Avatar was really unique:

Soundtrack was very nice, there were many tracks which strongly reminded me Horner's soundtrack from first Avatar. I would say that soundtrack was very good, music nicely matched with particular scenes.
There was one celebration song singed in Na'vi, that was absolutelly amazing... I never heard something such beautifull

To spoiler or not to spoiler...I guess for safety reasons I will just use one.

If you payed attention to the credits it said "Original Soundtrack by James Horner" or something along those lines. There are many callbacks and reused elements of the original score, you could say Simon Franglen "remixed" it. This makes sense from two different angles: It's economical, the material is already there so why not make use of it; the other angle would be paying tribute to the original composer (who sadly deceased) and trying to form some continuity, making the new movie feel like it's part of a bigger saga.

The song you mention by the way is the new main theme, there is very little "I See You" in the score and mostly pops up as "Becoming Part of the People." There is way more of course but I don't want to list everything. And of course, once the soundtrack is available, I can make a better comparison.

What would be interesting though is which direction the score is taking for Avatar 3. With Franglen being promoted to main composer there is a lot potential for something different, yet just as amazing as the first score...and the self-referential second.

Yeah, I wonder about another Franglen's composition for Avatar 3 too, I would expect that it already will be something different and I hope that it will be same great like as Horner's Avatar soundtrack.

I haven't checked but there better be a dub version out there. The vocals only do so much...but at least it is a little less sappy than I See You.
