I enjoy listening to Avatar as I practice Na'vi. I enjoy all of the tracks, except for the pop song at the end, "I See You" by Leona Lewis. For some reason, I do not see it fitting, and skip it. Are there any tracks on the soundtrack that you always skip?

Yeah, the last song - "I see you" is way too different from the rest of OST. But i still keep it on playlist, maybe a bit for the "ohh it's over already" warning hehe

But the rest of soundtrack is just amazing, can't point any track that i would ever want to skip, especially that the all remind me of different moments from movie

Yup, that's why I keep it on my computer.

Same. It really is a great soundtrack, and I believe that it definitely has a shot at the "Best Original Score" Oscar.

I get it stuck in my head on occasion, but I would not call it great. I do believe they were mimicking the format Titanic's soundtrack, actually.

I love all the tracks (except "i see you", but ti's more like a single) so i'm not skipping any of them. But my very favourites are #3, 4, 6 and 7.

sometimes I skip 10 - beacuse it make me sad  :(
and usually, I skip first 2,30min. in 12.
12 is my favourite, but only from 2.30 ;)

I don't skip any... I am not, and never really was a fan of Leona Lewis, I don't deny that she can sing well though. Every track reminds of a certain part of the film and 'I See You' reminds me of the awesome 3D end credits with panning shots of Pandora.

Good taste in favorites! My absolute favorite is track #5. It is really pretty, and I believe that's the track that will win the "Best Original Score" Oscar for James Horner.

Yeah I see you kinda puts it off for me

its the only song that is comprised of english singing in an album made up of fantastic intrumentals with singing in Na'vi

it seems really out of place to me

I do skip quite a few...

You Don't Dream in Cryo
Scorched Earth
Quadritch
Pure Spirits of the Forest (I fast forward to the atokirina part  ;D)
War...I skip most bits except for the epic part around 7 minutes and the last bit (the scene where Neytiri and Jake exchange "I see you")

i listen to them all

I like every track on there a great deal except for 8 - 10 (Scorched Earth, Quaritch, The Destruction of Hometree) because:

a - they are that stereotypical overly dramatic soundtrack music. They sound great in the movie but not really something I want to listen to by itself most of the time.

b - they remind me of my least favorite parts of the movie. Not that I'd remove them, you know, just ... that whole destruction of hometree thing gets to me the way a big massacre scene might get to most people.

I actually have come to like the last track too, despite not really being a big fan of that style of music. It reminds me of the end flyover.

@Kaiatéya
I absolutely agree with you! Those songs are not my favorite on their own...but I love it when its playing along the scene  ;D

kalua

@Kaiatéya
exactly!!!
I removed them from my playlist  :)
btw, I'm new here..
kaltxi everyone :D

Na'rìngyä vrrtep

for me is a half too short (Horner has recorded more themes), and you remove some of the songs from playlist :-\
sad or not it's still worth listening to again and again

Kaiatéya

I think most of the themes in the movie are covered by the soundtrack. They just use longer segments and different variations of the same stuff.

I use the soundtrack as a time-keeping mechanism while doing art. ;D I'll turn it on while working on one of my Na'vi pics and when it's done I'm like .. ok .. that was one soundtrack. Do I want to keep working longer?
