MOUNTAINBANSHEE

This thread is for the list and duscution of jobs in the tribe. This thread is also to help who would like to be in the tribe but do not know what they want to be. I have changed the name from jobs because that was clearly not going to work. Irayo to those who have pointed that out.

In the permentent tribe we shouldent have jobs per say but more just do what people do on canoe trips just help were you can and just do the jobs that need doing for example we are getting low on food a bunch of people go hunting we need somebody to cook somebody likes cooking so they volentier. having set jobs might get boring and its more fun and pulls people together better and more personaly by just doing what must be done when it needs to be done. Eg.
a cook will not be doing anything not during meal times
a hunter will catch a deer and a week latter go and get anouther what will they do untill then and what if other people want to hunt once and a while

Well, just edit it, and I will forgive YOUR TREACHEROUS WAYS!

Just kidding. :P

But seriously, do edit it.

And proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation would be appreciated.

Yeah. Maybe not a juob list but a list of what people are good at. That way it won't be someone who draws building a tree house or someone who hunts being a weaver. You know, those things lead to problems. Plus it's more fun doing something you know how to do and not struggle with something new. That lets you enjoy it and it doesn't get as old as fast.

True,
But in a tribe even if your not good at something everbody works together on projects and just helps out with what they are good at
and they can do different jobs if they want

if we specialize everyone. if they leave or disapear or something happens to them we won't have anyone to their job.

i think hunters and more specifically traditional archers (recurve bows) should be a main job focus as that is a specialization that must be specified. i would be more than willing to train hunters if the occasion arises. Simmilar specialists to be listed as Ayharyu would include: wood craftsmen, avid outdoorsmen/women, survivalists, special forces millitary, etc.

to add to that maybe even a system where the Ayharyu would have shawdows, people who help with the teaching and creating and will later fill the footsteps of the Ayharyu.

some people should have specific skills and they would do that when its needed but they can also do any other job that needs doing when they are not needed

I also strongly disagree with you with hunters see http://forum.learnnavi.org/navi-tribe/we-should-out-line-our-plan/ for my resons

What exactly am i looking for? can't figure out what you are refering to.
edit: Nvm i found it lulz

And as for the specialists i was just saying that these people who already know much on those subjects should be in charge of that aspect of the tribe. I also was not suggesting that they wouldn't help out with the rest of the jobs i was simply saying that when it comes down to hunting time there needs to be someone who knows what they are doing in charge.

btw hunting is generaly a solitary thing or pairs to many people will scare the animals
also if 3 groups go out and each catch a deer that will feed a group of 50 -100 people for about a month so we wount need to hunt very often

You're talking to a hunter. my point was that there has to be a "best hunter" out of everyone and i would rather leave the teaching and authority in his/her hands in that field. That's it. Not only hunter, not lead hunter, not one that only hunts, just the teacher and go-to guy/gal for advice or jobs. Karyu ke Taronyu.

oh and i think you have deer confused with elephants.  ;) A single deer will feed a group of 12 people for 2-7 days and in a jungle or forest survival setting we will all be burning up to 2-4 times the amount of calories we do now and more if you're like me and don't leave the house so we will need a lot of nutrient input, which will probably be mostly a vegetarian diet anyways.

^^^ This. While I plan on learning as much as possible about all this before we do it, having someone with real experience showing us what to do would be great.
