This just came to me i know that we are going to try to create a self sustaining tribe. ok but for the first few months even first few years we need supplies from out of the tribe because it will take time for plants and crops to grow and for our animals to mate, oh even more important what of the things we cant get by our selves like medicine and stuff like that, I will tell you now my new bell jet ranger helicopter cant hold a lot. so now i will leave this thread open for brainstorm go nuts.

Txon Taronyu

we are hunter gathers we arnt going to grow crops and raise animals we will hunt and forege for food

ok but what about our medicine idk if we are going to have a guy that knows everything about the forest coming in the tribe but it would be nice to have someone with the expirence to tell us what plants heal what wounds or bite or stings e.t.c

Txon Taronyu

I can be that guy I am highly knowledgable about that stuff but we need to bring along some medical equpment just incase such as a defibulator

Txon Taronyu

oh ya, we also ned to have somone who will be a supply runner, somebody who goes to get things we cant get on our own i believe i will be that guy cause i have a chopper that my parents recently bought me but my litttle bell jet ranger idk how it will hold out with humidity i think i may need to buy a huey in the future

Txon Taronyu

Well we should have some sort of transportation but we wont need suplies that often just medicin or bits to repair the electronic devices so we could just higher somebody to drop it off instead of having a big ugly choper in our camp

Actually, Bell choppers usually look pretty nice.
As far as no farm tho, I think we should have at least something for a little while to keep us going until we are more proficient in our huntings.

But if there was a medical emergency, at least we wouldn't have to wait to be airlifted out.

Ya the huey seems the best choice. for one the design was used in avatar with the samson cockpit but it was also mixed with the blackhawk and also it is not that bad of a chopper to look at and its made for the jungle, just look at its record when it served in Vietnam

Txon Taronyu

ok but it should be out of sight from the camp and we shouldnt use it unless there is an emergance or we may spook the game

A shot record should be presented.

And the emergencies should be kept low. We could find a place that's safe if atleast 5 people have excellent medica experience.

I agree with this. Plus I also think we will need a chopper just to be on the safe side. I too don't want it visible from the camp but it can't be too far away either.

Yeah, we don't want to have to carry an injured person too far!

I think that we may be taking the transportation too far this time. We don't know exactly where the Tribe is going to be, right now. We have no idea whether or not we would be able to take a Helicopter there or not, or if a simple Van would do. I personally would rather we had a ground vehicle- that way, people can come and go for supplies, and I would say that since it is a car, we wouldn't need to have someone with a flying license to drive it. If there is an emergency, someone who doesn't have a driver's license could still manage to go get help in a car, but with a Helicopter.... I'm not so sure that would work out very well. Just my personal preference. Plus, a helicopter would be less cost-effective, larger, and more harmful to the environment, in my opinion. Just saying.

It really depends on the location. We can't exactly drive off an island!

Yeah, I suppose you're right. If we're not on an Island, a ground vehicle would be much more effective for everything.

when it comes to maintenance, don't choppers need ridiculous amounts of it? I can fix a car, I can fix a van, I can't fix a helicopter...
