Plus it sounds like it needs and energy input: "Most use either biogas or solar energy inputs." Solar input could be do-able though.

I saw a video about an engine that runs on compressed air! It uses compressed air to power a car. The generator is also powered by compressed air. The engine compresses the air and that air is used to fuel the generator which supplies the power to power the engine. We could use the excess power to power the eco-village!

Oh my... You've just made my night *chuckles* What about using a wheel in a river as a source of some energy? This is an idea that just occurred to me... I'm no expert on this type of energy though... Perhaps it could help with irrigation?

We are now right back ofiically at square 1 because the use of a hydro power system was brought up in the first topic that i read on this board.
they agreed that if we were to use this method that they would use a dam with a small turbine. They also said that I would be beter to use a set of solar panals. then they agreed to no power. And after alot of arguments about the use of power in the tribe and eco-village, My opinon is that if we have a perminent building then we will power it by solar and the I don't give two s***s 'bout the use of power in the eco-village 'cause i'm not gonna be there at all. All I give a s*** 'bout now is try'n to get to sleep and to try to live my life until I get to the tribe.

I think is important even for people (like me ) who plan on spending all or most of their time in the tribe to support the eco-village. It will be a very good saftey net if something goes wrong.

To get used to the primitive life. if you just fall in i think it can be incredebly overwhelming
