I don't really know what to vote, I like both ideas and can't see why they can't both co-exist together. they don't appear mutually exclusive to me. I think I will be remaining neutral.

I would personally start the vote again with a third option for a middle ground option otherwise it is not a fair reflection of what people want and the poll loses it's purpose.

I'd do 5 options:

All out eco village
Closer to eco village
Even cross between the 2
Closer to tribe
Tribe only.

i think we should do both personally cause then the eco village could be for the summer camp as well and mixing between the 2 it would make life allot easier for the one who wanted to the full on tribe (im one them)

it would be a good idea as a base camp sort of thing

but thats my opinion

Probably no matter how the vote here goes, it will probably evolve into a symbiotic relationship between tribe and village anyway, once reality kicks in.
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.

Looking at the votes I don't think we should have just one or the other, I think we should have both (although I'll be in the tribe ;) ) because if we have either one or the other it will upset half the people who are involved at the moment

Not only would it upset half the people but if we have the eco village without the tribe you lose the true experience and if you have the tribe without the village you make it a lot less practicle to pull off. If pushed i'd vote for the tribe but I don't really want to choose.

Maybe the Eco-village could be the thing you have to go through before you go to the full-on tribe.

That'd be cool then we could have some kind of ceremony when/if you go to live permanately with the tribe like becoming one of the people. although making the eco-village something you have to go-through to join the tribe could seem to be a bit demeaning to perm members of the eco-village, like they're not good enough...

They wouldn't think that. it would be their choice to stay there so they probably would feel fine about it. They'd be like college professors they don't really do much in their field other than teach but through their teaching they've accomplished a lot and i would assume that perm ecovillage people would have no problem helping tribe member applicants.

I know I wouldn't think that but maybe make some other kind of initiation into perm tribe to show further commitment (rough it for a weeks or something just to show you're capable or something) that way nobody should feel inadequate, it's simply a choice you make

i personally was a fan of sending them out as a party (like the training hunters in the movie) for a week or so to figure out the land and how to live off of it first hand, maybe with a tribe member along for safety.

For the tribe to work everybody's going to need to work together well, so to be honest an initiation ceremony or similar is probably a good idea because then you feel accepted and more inclined to get on better with everybody else
