Chapters done: 0
ETA: Before I die. Maybe.

I'll post here about the editing progress.

Nume fpi sänume

Adding in common names and Na'vi words to my MS word dictionary, going through and fixing spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, etc, but also keeping the "human feel" to it on a lot of the shortened words and grammar usage. Also editing out all of the stars for s*** and f***. Not gonna censor the final version of the book.

69/301 pages edited for spelling mistakes. Fixed some Na'vi grammar mistakes. Calling it a night, gotta be up early tomorrow.

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I don't have much more to add other than JUST DO IT! But not like Tiger Woods ;)

If you'd like, I can secondary edit it. Grammar Nazis unite!

It's better if you have more than one editor.

Remember, you don't always want to grammatically correct dialogue; most of the times people do speak incorrectly, in colloquial usage.

Most of the grammar mistakes in my dialogue is done on purpose.

Yeah, I'm not talking about that stuff. And I'm not using "Grammar Nazi" literally.

It would just be to catch the mistakes that fall through the first sieve. If I can find one in book 2, I'll give you an example. :P

Update on book 1: Ok, so here is today's update. Im on page 134/310 (yay almost half way done) of editing the non-intentional spelling mistakes. I am, for the most part, ignoring grammar right now. Here is how I will be setting up the chapters:

- Every chapter gets its own Word document, That way, I can take the edited document as a whole, and start breaking it into chunks per chapter. I know we had a lot of "catch up posts" that were posted, literally, 20-25 word document pages AFTER the event they were catching up on, so I broke each chapter into its own document so I didn't have to hunt up/down pages to find the right place to drop in stray story pieces.

- For some of you, I may be contacting you via PM to help me "fill in the holes", if your character was out for an extended/important period of time. Having important character vanish, and then pop back up again later is odd.

- I will be giving "mostly completed" copies to people who want to help go over editing when I've got most of the story done. We can collab on the editing, and figure out a yes/no decision on editing suggestions as a group.

- As it stands, I will have to take a break for a couple of days from editing, I have a very major project that sprung up in the past day, and I have to have it done by Tuesday night. I'll edit when I can, but I need to kick back a couple gears till I get this thing done

- Its not quite as /wrists as I thought it would be. Batch fixing of commonly misspelled words helps a lot. Also, you guys use a metric crapton of unnecessary ì's and ù's (I dont think we use the ù character in this language ??? ) and ä's Double check your Na'vi spelling, its much harder to catch. Also, Na'vi words dont need to be capitalized ;)

Ok, thats all for now.

Sweet, ma tsmukan.
I don't mind helping, as you know ^^
You're amazing for doing this ^^

Please PM me if you are still interested in the real Na'vi tribe.

What book are you writing anyway? Storm over Pandora? *just curious* In any case, I may want to read it.

Yeah... our RP chapters are being collected together, edited for smooth flow, and made into one story.

It'll be waycool! We'll all get fame, fortune, and booty.*

*If by "fame, fortune and booty" you mean "a few people on this board will say it was well done and they enjoyed it", then, yeah. We'll probably be there.
