Na'vi use multiple negation, so if you use negative word, you must also negate verb.

What is the difference between oeri and oeru?

First one is topical of "oe", second one is dative of the same. Here must be used "oeri", if you rewrite it a little, you get:
Oeri tirea lu ikran oeyä => As for me, my ikran is spirit => My ikran is my spirit

Dative here doesn't give any sense
Oeyä ikran... lu tirea oeru. => My ikran... I have spirit.
Oe lu skxawng skxakep. Slä oe nerume mi.

Irayo, ma Blue Elf.  I must study this.  I don't really understand the topical and what it means and how it is used.

Neither do I in entirety.
You can use the -ri / topical in places where something is an unalienable possession, like your hands (you own them, no one else does), or your idea.

If you learn more about it and find a way to explain it, I would be obliged. I'm only trying to figure this out since about a year. :D
