For second part, in Czech it has good meaning. In English I'd say: It is pleasant that it is possible to read these texts. Simply general statement.
What is more curious: we have word for "to write" but not for "to read". Also how many texts were written in "unwritten" language

Yes! I believe I have seen that discussed somewhere else in the forum before...It was about how we could pollibly derive teh word for "read" from the concept of "reading the forest/trails, signs of prey" and such. Imo I think "pamrel" is so simple of a compond root that it could have been easily constructed by the Na'vi when they saw writing. "duuude check this out it's like some kind of soundpictures!" all offtopic speculation, of course.
