So I wanted to translate a simple song, but I don't know what to replace the chorus with. I've come up with something.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Du Oe (When singing this, only say "weh", not "o-eh")

Nein Kehe

Willst du bis zum Tod, der scheide Same as first, but with some changes
sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen Or it could just be the same

Nein Kehe

Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet Srake poru ngal pivänu
treu ihr sein Frakrr livu

Nein Kehe

Original:
Du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt
English:
You have asked me, and I have said nothing

Na'vi: Oeru ngal polawm, slä oel ke'ut stolawm
English: You have asked me, but i have heard nothing

I chose stawm because it rhymes with pawm, and in my opinion "slä oel ke'ut poltxe" doesn't fit the rhythm.

Original:
Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet
treu ihr sein für alle Tage
English:
Do you want, until death seperates you,
to be faithful to her for all days

Na'vi:
Srake poru ngal pivänu
Frakrr livu ngay sì tstew
English:
Will you promise to her
To always be true and brave

Unfortunately, I can't really comment on your work nor give good advices, since my level in Na'vi is very poor for now.. But I really like the idea! It looks like a good beginning. :) A song from Rammstein, that's cool.

Anyways, I guess German isn't the important thing here. ;) Concerning your Na'vi translation, I can at least say that it is soundwise pretty beautiful. Sounds like a song. :)

Actually, I think the original lyrics are strangely made.
That's why I'd like help from some of the more experienced on this forum, it's hard to give something a double meaning in another language while keeping the same message. :P

Thanks :), I wish there were more people who looked at this part of the forum. It's kind of empty here. :-\

Hmm, you switched nga and oe... And oeru doesn't mean mich (which is accusative/patientive)... Oeru means mir (dative).
Oe
Oeru
Oeru ngal
Oeru ngal polawm
Oeru ngal polawm, slä oel ke'ut stolawm

Would mean:
Ich
Mir
Du hast mir
Du hast mir gefragt
Du hast mir gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt.

I think you could use something like this:

DuNga
Du hastNgal
Du hast michNgal oeru
Du hast mich gefragtNgal oeru polawm
Du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagtNgal oeru polawm, slä oel ke'ut stolawm

It's not supposed to be a direct translation. It's easier to make it rhyme that way. :)
I was told in this thread that the dative is used for the one who gets asked.
Also, if it was:
Nga
Ngal
Ngal oeru,
then it wouldn't have enough syllables like:
Du
Du hast
Du hast mich

But thanks for your critique. :)
I want more discussion here. :P

Here's me singing the song with the lyrics on screen:
Oeru Ngal Polawm
Sorry if my singing is bad :P

Oeru fìtìrol sunu nìngay!

This has to be the least "Na'vi" sounding song but it's so wonderful. You definitely captured the original song and melody nicely. Hilarious and wonderful at the same time.

Still smiling at your "kehe!" :)

Woah, sorry about the necropost, but this translation is pretty awesome. ;D

I've been wondering how a Na'vi metal song would sound...my friends and I discuss Na'vi death metal. ;)

Well, we have Na'vi rap now, too so I guess all we need is Na'vi hip-hop and Na'vi techno and we'll have all the un-Na'vi music genres filled. :)

HRH, that'd be great!  I think the music doesn't matter, but rather the message does. ;)

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I've worked out part of the chorus for Ohne Dich.
I really like how it turned out, because it retains the same meaning with the same amount of syllables ;D
Maybe I'll make a full translation later, but for now you can have this :)

Quote from: How to singoh-ne dich
lu-ke nga

kann ich nicht sein
tsun  oe  ke     lu

oh-ne dich
lu-ke nga

mit dir bin ich auch al-lein
ul-te  nga-hu  nì -'aw-tu

One word:  EPIC

We're Rammstein fans, kids know a smattering of German (we use it mostly so they won't understand what we're saying), and are learning Na'vi.
One thing though, the chorus in the background during the "Nein" /"Kehe" is singing "Ja", so should "Srane" be added?

Thanks, that was, as I've said, EPIC!
