Kaltxì ma smukan sì smuke. There was this thread once with a half translated song, with unsingable lyrics. Awngeyä tsmukan hemmond and I decided to make a new song together. Hemmond plays the guitar and I play the piano, all we need now is a singer and lyrics...

There are some usefull translations in the thread mentioned above:
Nothing else matters. - Ke'u slä fì'u tsranten. - Nothing but this matters.
So close, no matter how far. - Ha lok, ke tsranten peyfa alìm. - So close, doesn't matters how far.

But if we want to record this song, we need more lyrics, someone who would like to give it a try?

QuoteSo close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know

hemmond

I'll only add original video, for those, who don't know this song.

okay so here's what I got. Tried to make it singable, I'm familiar with this song (and can play most if not all on guitar, I know a lot of Metallica's stuff on guitar ;D)

Irayo ma Kamean. :) I did that very quickly, as you can see by the post times xD

Surely a thing or two there may be up for discussion.

I'm very eager for a word for "trust(vt)" and "to care(vi) for / to care(vi) about / to have a care(n) / caring(adj)"

hemmond

I just tried to play that, but some parts are hard to play...

Quotetìrey lu awngey, rey nìfya'o awngey
Seems too long (I need to short it of the "awngey" word... Then it'll be singable - need to cut off 2 syllables)

Quoteronsem apiak fpi fpìlfya aketeng
Would be better if it'll be 1 syllable shorter...

That's for start. :)

dont forget blending. here is how I imagined it. listen to the song to catch the melody. I think it's not 100% the same amount of syllables, but really, so long as the syllable count is not WAY TOO different, it's singable imo. (following is a syllable matchup how I imagined it.)

-rey  law--ngey rey nì---fya-'o     aw----ngey
life  is     ours  we  live live it     our    way

ron-sem   api-ak      fpi  fpìl-fya a-ke---teng

I was playing on the guitar and singing it. Even with blending, 2 syllables are too much to keep the same melody... I tried it several times, but... It's still too much...

OH. plus it seems I have failed. I wrote "live" twice.

I'll rethink it.

Good job, ma Tirea :)

I only want to add this:
"So close, no matter how far. - Ha lok, ke tsranten peyfa alìm. - So close, doesn't matters how far"
is not correct, as pefya (not peyfa  :)) is questionable pronoun and can't be used this way. This is only grammar note, as TA translated it better already.

Ah, aren't we all waiting for it? ;)
'trust' was on the Feb list ... 'care' is needed indeed. First meaning could be covered with vewng, maybe?

I saw that. someone PMd me whether it was okay to re-hash it with a different word since the old one from 31 Jan didnt make it.

I'm currently thinking about vewng being to care. I think it can only mean that in the situation where you are to "care for the wellbeing of _____" or possibly even to "take care of ___"

The care here is of indifference and apathy, I think. "I don't care what you think!"
