Because this photo is real, and I didn't post it here before (I think)

Seriously! How is this picture a fail?!?!?

It appears that they have placed a pole of some kind directly in the way of a gate opening.  I hope those people own a motorcycle.  OR is it that black thing hanging in the middle.  Or is it the fact that the pole is in the street because the walkway is so narrow??  TBH I'm not absolutely sure either.

I guess then that garage door opens horizontally, because vertically opening garage doors have horizontal hinges. o.o

Unless it's like one of these:

Most obvious issue with this image is that the pole looks much older than the garage.
So it was built there knowing the pole would be in front of the door?

Then there's what looks like a drain pipe running down the wall on the left side of the image, the way it starts at the garage roof and ends at the floor, it's been cut off with the same line as the top and bottom of the wall, it just looks phony to me.
The fact that a dirty street has a pristine garage doesn't look right either.
The shadow along the lower edge of the door looks suspect too.
The perspective of the door is different to the perspective of the pole.
The wall has a textured surface, where the front face of the wall meets the door recess gives an edge that should look very similar to the edge at the top of the wall, look closely and they look noticeably different.
The shadow on the pole has different tonality to the shadows on the wall/door/drain pipe.

I know what that is, it's no a pointless switch, it's for safety. If a runaway train approaches, it derails without affecting a major line.
The switch can be changed to allow a train on to those tracks, when it is permitted to do so.

Hmm ... interesting safety system. But at first glance, it looks weird  ;D

The major line will be affected anyway, as the police and first aids will come.
