Using tì and us together
« on: July 31, 2010, 05:13:37 pm »
As in hunting- tìtusaronä, when using plltxe- speak, does the "us" go just after the first letter of the root word? Tìpuslltxe...?

It would go in the pre<1> or <0> position. The <1> position is defined as "before the 2nd to last vowel" in the base verb. It just happens that it's also right after the first letter in Taron and Plltxe.

So... Oel tìpuslltxe lu. Is this correct? And what would be an example of how the <1> place changes...

The <1> position changes based on the location of the vowels:
to try
Fm<0><1><2>i
to hunt
T<0><1>ar<2>on
(I'm having trouble finding a 3 vowel verb that isn't obviously compounded from other words, but if you come across one, the <0><1> occurs before the 2nd to last vowel, and the <2> before the last one.
Also keep in mind that ____ si verbs take all the infixes in the si: Srung s<0><1><2>i. to help
Compound verbs take all the infixes in the main verb: `awstengy<0><1><2>em. to join two things together

If you're trying to say I am speaking, you should just say: Oe perlltxe.
I think you should only use tì-<us>verb when you're trying to use the act of verbing as a noun: Tìtusaron sìltsan lu. Hunting is good.
