At least for cases, I see suffixes being added to the end of nouns, preceded by a hyphen. For example, "Oe-l nga-ti kameie." However, I sometimes see it without a hyphen: "Oel ngati kameie".

So I just wanna know: Is there a standard here? Like, does it matter if you include a hyphen or not, are they supposed to be there, or have i only been seeing them to emphasize that their a suffix? Would you use a hyphen before a suffix usually when writing something or not, basically?

The standard is to actually to not write hyphens and brackets. - < >

We typically only use them in the /beginners forums to make things easier for beginners to recognize. :)

No problem. Here, it's your choice. But it's best to get used to writing without the markings. Any of us would be surely happy to reveal affixes with markings upon request :)

In fact, the use of the hyphen in the beginner's forum, has become uncommon. Perhaps the instructions on this forum need to be revisited.

indeed. O.o

It apparently was the fact since the early days that hyphens and brackets were the standard while in /beginners.

And by not hyphenating/bracketing, we're only confusing the beginnners ;)
