Insane stacking up of prefixes in nouns

(1/4) > >>

Eltu Lefngap Makto:
I just tried to quantify all the possible ways a noun could get bigger and it seems nearly limitless!  The most extreme example I could come up with:

fìfrapxevopxìorifnepekxamläsì

fì- fra- pxe+ fne- vo-pxì -o -ri -pe kxamlä sì

this-all-three-kind-eight-th-some-topical-what-through_the_middle-and

and regarding through the middle of which of all these certain kind of three-eighths

Is this actually (or nearly) possible?!?!?!?!  ???

Not quite to that degree.  Case markers and adpositions don't go together.  -pe would come before any case marker, and it's not clear to me that it and -o can coexist.

It's incorrect. We use cases after -pe :) And we never use adpositions with any cases except nominative (which is without ending), so kxamlä is impossible with -ri together.

fra- actually means "every", I think fìfra does not make sense. And I think vo is a root here. But I'm not sure that it's possible to use fne- after the root... Please check your example again.

'Oma Tirea:
What about me+, pxe+ combined with fì-, tsa-, and pe+?  I would assume the numerical prefix comes after the demonstrative...

Kemaweyan:
That's completely correct. I don't remember exactly, but I think that we got examples from Pawl where he wrote fìme- and fìpxe-. But even if we have not those examples, I'm completely sure of this rule :)
