what can you do with prezi.com?

http://prezi.com/f4xup7iydtk7/

I was mostly just experimenting with the program and its associated editor. Tell me what you think,

Okay, I know prezi is the best solution so far but I think there are certain critical limitations. After our session (GMT +10), I suggested to our TA that we need to look for a programme or website that enables the TA to have control on what the aynumeyu sees. For example, while using Prezi, some members would go on their own pace and ignore the rest of the class thus kinda defeating the purpose of actually having one.

In the kindergarten I work in, teachers would make flash cards with pictures on them and whenever they flash a card, they'd call up someone to tell them what the picture is about. With Prezi, this isn't possible as the TA has no ability to direct the slides. Also, not every numeyu interprets the slides the way the creator would. For example, one of the slides that had the picture of a sky and the word Taw in it generated different responses from different members. In the end, we had to use the English word to explain which I think also defeats the purpose of Project Ngaynume.

Therefore I suggest we look for another alternative that provides the TA with the ability to direct the flow of the presentation.

Maybe is a silly idea, but we could try to translate songs... When I was teaching myself English (not to translate, but to understand it without any kind of translating, just like we are trying to do with Na'vi) I found a lot of help in English songs and the lyrics because it teached me how to pronunce some words that without that music I could not have learn to pronunce.

It could help us to separate words... to understand spoking. Atthe beggining I couldn't know if it was "speechless way" (for example) or "speechlessway", como si fuera una sola palabra.

We can do so with Na'vi. Is hard, I know, and more that anyone wants to sing them and sing them with the right pronunciation, but it's only that, an idea.

I like this idea. there is actually a thread on the forum where we are trying to make Na'vi versions of kids' songs. very cool stuff...I forget where exactly that is. THanks for the suggestions guys! Ideas are always welcome and much appreciated! :D

ma tirea, can you post a new sticky topic with all the times the groups will be getting on?  Might make it a bit easier for people to settle on a group if they know what actual times people are getting on.

i agree with Seze... and why did you lock all the threads? people can discuss there about the classes, what should be better or what is good... and maybe explain someone a thing that he/she didn't understand on class

Another suggestion, instead of naming the groups GMT-* where * equals a number,  how about having each group name themselves and then the time that group is meeting in GMT time.  So the US West Coast group would not be GMT-8 they would be "some name" (Time they meet, not timezone)

well okay then...but that can only be changed by me, or the author of the first post in that timezone.

for example, Makto Fa'lihu started the GMT-5 topic. He may choose to edit post one to rename the topic into whatever he wants. I dont wanna go around renaming people's posts and such.

talk it out as a group. I will now unlock the Timezone boards for such a purpose.

I like this one! Anyone else from GMT -8 have other suggestions or 2nd this one? I'd like to have everyone vote on something please. When we have a majority vote I will change the name of our group.

I think that may belong in the suggestions thread<THIS ONE>...unless you just want to compliment or complain. I am noticing that the "sticky thread" zone is getting larger and stickying such threads is making each of them harder to notice. I made THIS THREAD (the Suggestions thread) so that you all can submit ideas or things that you would change about any part of the project. I look at it, respond and whatever happens, happens. feedback...hmmm...what kind of stuff <If not suggestions> would you all put in there?<just wondering>
